The Sun tells us that Andrey Arshavin has a new nickname at Arsenal: "Meerkat". If you've seen the
incredibly annoying Compare the Meerkat adverts on TV, you'll know why: Meerkat: Arshavin: A bit
more imaginative than "Arshy" I suppose,...
As I was reading my Google mail this afternoon, one of the adverts pointed me towards this
website, which is selling those white and green Arsenal away jerseys which were shown as possible
official ones earlier last month. I prefer the blue but each to his own, right?
Not sure they deliver to Europe, but just in case you want to dig deeper, here are the

They are selling them cheap, that's for sure.
The Offside rules showcased two great adverts for Virginia Mason Medical Medical Center featuring
the Seattle Sounders. They are too good for me not to forward. I hope these aren't currently
breaking Advantage Played, but if so I do apologize.
Kansas City are taking the route of selling the players to sell the team. That's not a bad idea
since even most of us who follow American soccer pretty closely can't tell you too much about these
guy's personality. So why not spend 30 seconds getting to know Davy "Long Bomb" Arnaud and Jack
Jewsbury by way of a couple of adverts aimed squarely at the heartland.
Sony's new series of adverts featuring Kaka make a ridiculous case for HDTV; it's all in the
details.
You know what would be great? If Adidas would hire Nike to do their ads in the states. Sure, it
will never happen but I can dream of child-free soccer adverts in America can't I?
Like sex, football sells. For the good, but usually for that bad as you will see in 10
swift steps. Please take into consideration that there are thousands more, but for now there is one
question I need to ask you What's the French for Va, Va Voom?

Hot off the conveyor belt of cracking adverts by Nike, Patrice Evra has got his very own
one and in cartoon form. It is a very very cool advert...
My only objection is that playing for Manchester comes lower than playing for France. Lies I
tell you, lies...

The future of Arsenal TV is in the balance today as Setanta Sports (UK) went into administration
and ceased transmissions yesterday. Setanta finances the transponder space for Arsenal TV, whilst
Arsenal are responsible for the production of the programmes. Arsenal's revenue is generated from
the adverts sold on the channel.

55 minutes into our match against Liege, my friend and I got kicked out of the venue where we
were watching it.
What did we do?
We went to the nearest pub where they didn't show the Arsenal match as promised on the
promotional adverts. Instead they showed Liverpool's game against Debrecen.
It is pretty amazing that the Roar would allow the story that Craig Moore rang from the Middle east
to say that he would come back next year if Ange left, was allowed to get out. It isn't surprising
as a story. But unless you think that any news is good news, you don't want stories like that out
there.
