There must have been something in the air in Cheshire yesterday, because several Manchester
United players and their families were spotted out walking, talking and doing stuff.
Let's take a look:
The Best Dressed Family award goes to the Van der Sars.

You have a woman's touch, Lord Berba...
A typically elegant piece of tekkers by Dimitar Berbatov, as spotted last night during Man Utd's
great escape at Blackpool; Berba is the artist to Rooney's artisan. It's a triffic blend for
United.
I've been putting together an article on some retro TV adverts starring footballers for Betfair
Football and came across these two classics starring our own Pat Jennings.
The following one featuring Pat dressed up as a goalkeeping oil filter for Unipart was pretty
familiar to me, but the advert below in which he stars alongside Tony Tiger in an advert for
Frosties was one that I hadn't seen.
As part of Nike's French 'new era' campaign a Nike representative talks football
to new manager Laurent Blanc. It's all arty and stuff...
Oh, and it looks like a rugby shirt.

* Any idea why the 'about us' section on SPU's website gives a potted history of Manchester United?

Jamie and wifey Louise are back to the beach for their latest Thomas Cook Travel advert. They're
the couple we love, even though they are rapidly overtaking Brooke Shields levels of product
promo.
Why is this worth your time, you ask?
If this game was taking place two months ago I think it's fair to say we would walk this game and
that is no disrespect to Ipswich in any way at all, in fact I think even their own fans would dread
the thought of taking on Chelsea.
However, it's a no lose situation for the Tractor Boys and it's Chelsea they have EVERYTHING to
lose today as we start our defence of the FA CUP.
Chelsea fans! Why not go and try the brand new Indian Restaurant in Fulham Broadway The
MASALA
ZONE before or after the game today.
Why not grab a Curry, Rice and a beer for just £12!!
The Masala Zone has been awarded the following accreditations:
Best Restaurateur of the Year - Tatler Award
Amaya: Best Restaurant & Best New Restaurant - London Restaurant Awards
Chutney Mary: Best Indian Restaurant - London Restaurant Award
Veeraswamy: Britain's Oldest Indian Restaurant - Established 1926
Masala Zone: "10/10 for food, service & value for money" The Guardian
So if you need food before or after the game then why not head to The Masala Zone (opposite
Barclays Bank) and
please mention you have seen this advert on my website "Chelseadaft" for
me when you go in.
You can tell the true value of a player by their absence. On Sunday, Luka Modric jogged
purposefully on to the pitch at half time and proceed to transform a lacklustre Tottenham team.
Before and after – the footballing equivalent of a Head and Shoulders advert. Before – dry and
dull, all the shine has [.
David Gill has revealed that Manchester United will open talks with Ryan Giggs next month to
extend his current deal with the club.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he extends his contract for another season," said Gill.
"That will be addressed in the next month or so. He has been playing well, keeps himself in
great shape and is a wonderful advert for the modern footballer.
Not only being known for their project in promoting young talent into the first team, lately
Manchester United also have a policy of keeping their senior players as long as they intend to stay
at the club.
Among few senior players that Sir Alex Ferguson kept at Old Trafford, one special name that
reportedly could continue his playing time at the club is 37-years-old Ryan Giggs, who reportedly
might be given another extension soon.
Kick it Out, the campaign which challenges discrimination in football, has released a video in
response to sexist remarks made by two Sky Sports commentators about a female official last week.
