I have written a lot about the idea of 'Sudden Change' - the ability to show an immediate positive
response to adversity. The best athletes in the world have demonstrated their strong character
after a mistake is made in a game, and have been able to show the resolve to fight back to regain a
positive outcome.
The takeover at Liverpool came as a relief to everyone – finally some clear leadership and
direction to bring an end to the turmoil.
Now how about a similar thing happening on the field?

This was yet another great and memorable year in sports. Most of the memories start with the
product in field, court or floor and that product begins with the coaches.
They shape the identity of their team, prepare them to handle adversity, give them the plays and
strategy to succeed and mold the individuals on the roster into one team—a job that is much
easier said then done.
