The 5th Annual Thomas Whitefield 3-on-3 Soccer Tournament returns to Rolla!
The tournament will be held at Lion's Club Soccer Park on Saturday June 14th, beginning at 2:00
pm.
The tournament includes teams and players from U8 up to an Over 40 group! Put together a team of
five players, either single sex and co-ed.
Lake Country Soccer is still accepting team applications for its upcoming Presidents??? Day 3v3
Indoor Tournament on Monday, February 18, 2008.

The Missouri Soccer League Board of Directors announced their new adult soccer league, forming
in Joplin, at a press conference on Thursday.
The league will consist of up to 20 teams in the Joplin metro area. A traveling team will be
formed from participants of the league and will compete in areas like Oklahoma City, Okla.

On August 2, 2008, Ozark Tiger Soccer will be having their Annual 3 v 3 Summer Sizzler. Part of
the proceeds will be donated to the Matthew P. Stoelb Continuing the Journey Scholarship. This
scholarship benefits Ozark students with Autism or their siblings as they continue their education
beyond high school.
August 6 is the deadline date for fall youth leagues and programs:
Register as a team or sign up as an individual player for team placement.

* Major Leagues for boys ages 8-14; $60 per player

The third round of the US Open Cup is upon us. There are 8 MLS teams remaining in the
tournament - each of which will face a non-MLS team.
Three teams from the USL Second Division have made it to the round of 16. These teams all

Enjoyable evening of Futsal last night at the Shrine Mosque on St Louis Street. The Springfield
Demize put on an exhibition game that included a number of former MSU players with a nice mix of
high school players who showed well. In particular, Ozark Tiger keeper Jason Taylor manned one net
and helped his Storm team earn the win when he blocked two of the three PK's taken in an Overtime
Shootout.

Annual Beach Soccer Invitational at Montrose Beach, Chicago
Summer's here, surf's up and that means it's time to hit the beach for the 2008 Chicago Beach
Soccer Invitational. Hosted by the Illinois State Soccer Association, Illinois Youth Soccer
Association and Chicago Soccer, the 2008 Chicago Beach Soccer Invitational runs from July 26 to
July 27 and is the ultimate sand soccer experience.
The FIFA 2008 Beach Soccer tournament is underway in Marseille France. The US Team didn't
qualify this year but Mexico and El Salvador are representing CONCACAF along with Brazil, Argentina
and many of the other usual suspects are out. If you want to catch some highlights, here's the
place to do it.
A goal by Jonathon Marquez (Magic Soccer) in the 53rd minute was enough to earn the win against
Arsenal this afternoon. Arsenal pressed hard in the final 20 minutes for an equalizer, the best
opportunity coming when Buddy Coulter (Glendale) came up from his central defensive position for a
corner kick.

In a tightly contested match, it was Sig Ep who came away with the hardware Monday night. An early
goal (while I was still in line at Taco Bell) gave the boys in gray the lead on the artificial
surface on the Northeast side of campus.

surgery Wednesday and is likely lost until early August, the club said Thursday.

determined this coming Sunday, November 16th at Cooper Stadium. Deportiva Patol faces Tierra Nueva
in the consolation match scheduled to kick off at 12:30pm. Union Latina and Arsenal face off in the
championship match at 2:30pm.

Ladies and gentlemen, looking for a tournament out there where you can all play together? Well, in
a press release from U.S. Soccer, I just came across the 2008 Coed Cup put on by United States
Adult Soccer Association. The tournament, scheduled for October 24-26 in Dallas, features Open,
Over-30 and Over-40 age brackets.
The single most important resource for the region, Lake Country Soccer is run by a volunteer
board and works with the Park District to provide a quality soccer experience for thousands of
youth in the region.
