The US suffered through a sluggish first half to overcome Honduras by 2-0 and clinch a berth in
the semifinals of the Gold Cup. Here are my thoughts on the game:
1) Time to Bid Adu - Freddy Adu failed to cope with Honduras' physical
defending and repeatedly coughed up the ball in dangerous positions.
Freddy Adu played for Monaco during a midseason friendly against Italian side Juventus. Adu started
in attack for Monaco and drew a penalty in the 35th minute, which Jerko Leko took to give his side
the lead. Juventus eventually equalized, but Monaco prevailed 5-4 on penalties.
There are 30 names on the USA's Gold Cup roster, with that number falling to 23 for the start of
