Yay, qualifying roster is out. It's like Christmas. On Mars. With Jehovah's Witnesses.
But first, I think I should at least pile on this. I get very few Christmas cards from either the
Angel City Brigade or the Union Ultras, but this is as weak as the Woody Allen Workout. I'm still
willing to rant about the Legion-Riot Squad fracas of 2007, but neither of these groups were
involved - and apparently the decision was more about West Ham-Millwall than Legion-LARS, which is
even weaker.
Today MLS Rumors put it up its much hyped "investigation" into to US Soccer. To call it laughable
is an insult to humor. To call it stupid is an insult to stupid people. To even give this much
attention is probably a mistake on my part, but I simply cannot let it go by. This is one of the
single-most offensive, stupid pieces I've ever seen written on American soccer and additionally it
includes outright racist sentiments.
After Clint Dempsey moved to Fulham in 2007, his leap in quality was beyond remarkable. This was
evidenced in his subsequent call-ups to the US national team. Stronger, defter, more confident. He
was a new player. He'd already been a stand-out in Germany 2006, scoring the only non-own-goal for
the US, but after his move to the Premier League, his ability, drive and influence on others seemed
to escalate drastically in a short amount of time.

'Boob' Bradley's head needs to be chopped off! Why? Porque? How can a coach in a final of a
championship let his pinche team lose a 2-0 lead? Especially knowing you play Brazil and their
chingados players who are born with balls when they born!

If Grenada was the appetizer then the U.S. Men's national team's next Gold Cup opponent has to
be considered the main course, but while Honduras should provide a tougher test than the 'Spice
Boys', this isn't the same Honduras team that pushed the U.
How on earth can Bradley not even dress Adu and Torres. I can see Torres not starting as you can
argue whether he had a good performance against CR or not. Freddy did very well off the bench and
he is rewarded for it by not being dressed. It makes zero sense. I am terrified for tonight.
This needs a comment.
Afterward, Donovan was dismissive of Rossi, saying, "If the guy doesn't want to play for us,
then I don't really care about him."

After two less-than-stellar performances in the Confederations Cup, the U.S. will likely be playing
their final game of the tournament tomorrow morning against African champions Egypt and while
mathematically still alive, Bob Bradley's squad needs a win and a lot of help in order to advance
to the semifinals.
I have no idea what's in store for the youngster.

The U.S. team needs to avoid a loss tonight to keep from dropping as far as third place in the
CONCACAF Hexagonal standing.

for players to prove themselves, one last chance for Bob Bradley to test his squad against stiff
international competition outside of World Cup qualifying.
The final first round games are about to kick off, so we thought we'd throw our ideal lineup
out there. If for no other reason, it will give us the right to say "I told you so" in the event of
a loss today. If we win, on the other hand, we will obviously never speak of this again.

Watching the USMNT play Grenada last Saturday in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, something dawned on me.
A strong core of our squad in this installment of the continental championship, played for our
country at the Olympics in Beijinlist of players on roster at both competition at bottom). It's
apparent that since departed Peter Nowak had a very good feel for the pulse of our young
talent.

Most of the U.S. team's top stars are sitting this tournament out, leaving the event as an
opportunity for young players to prove they belong, and veterans a chance to show they still have
what it takes to contribute to the first team.

Despite having a strong U-21 side, Italy's other youth national teams don't really have a
glorious history. All of Italy's youth focus is directed to the U-21 team, and you never hear
anything about the other sides. In addition, besides the U-21 team Italy's youth sides have never
really won anything, despite participating at many tournaments.
With updates to Buzz' 2010 GA target list, particularly due to the news that there are a few
official signings, I was hoping that the first player I had targeted for profile would be on the
list. At this time, he is not. But what Dustin Corea is, is a player beyond his years. One of only
6 players on the above linked target lists still in high school.
