I suck at updating lately, but bear with me, my beautiful readers, soon enough I'll get things back
on track and routine-ness shall resume. Right now, here's another post of randoms:
- The picture you see here is, obviously, Andres Iniesta on the cover of this month's GQ España
for their special on "Los Héroes de España", that also featured photos of David Villa and Cesc
Fabregas.
New signing Javier Mascherano took part in his first training session with Barcelona yesterday
morning, albiet one that lacked most of the players from the senior squad seeing as they're away on
international duty.
Mascherano, who arrived a half hour early to the Ciutat Esportiva, sat down to the team breakfast
with Maxwell, Adriano, Keita, Abidal, Alves, Pinto and twenty-five B-teamers, before being ushered
out to the training pitch by Adriano and Alves to work with his new coach for the first time.
Wow, that's all I can say seeing some of the transfers that have gone through in the past few
days. While there aren't too many "big" names which moved around, there's are certainly some
interesting, young and skilful players which are going to be wearing new jerseys this season. Let's
see some of the signings that clubs have made, and how they'll affect the Serie A, and maybe
European competitions.

Which of these Aussies will have the greater influence on their team this weekend?

Wellington's Jade North (Yes he's back.
Ieri abbiamo assistito all'esordio in Champions dell'Inter che
Hurried and harried, so I'll leave you with a few quick links:
- Lio Messi spent the past couple of days trotting around London on a PR stunt for Adidas that went
horribly wrong. I don't see how they expected it to work out in the first place.
- Here's Gerard Pique 'not knowing what to say' about his status as the number one sizzling Catalan
in the eastern or western hemisphere.
There is no way to ice over the poor performance that Roma put in against Bayern Munich. I stayed
away from internet sites all day Wednesday and recorded the game here in the states on FSC

It seems to be true. Well, at least if you only include Europe and the Arab football leagues.
Brazil has lost its post as the world's greatest footballer factory to all-time rivals Argentina:
according to a report from sports marketing consultants Euroamericas, it has replaced Brazil as the
country exporting the most professional players.
AS Roma must now certainly believe that they have turned a corner as Mirko Vucinic popped up in
the dying embers of their Serie A clash with Internazionale on Saturday night and gave i Lupi their
first league victory of the season following a catastrophic start to the campaign.
The Romans had been in dire straits prior to the clash with Rafael Benitez's men.
The importance of Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic to AC Milan goes beyond the simple
statistics - 6 total matches for AC Milan, five goals. On a team full of high-profile talent and
scoring ability, Ibra has stood out early in the season as the player who has carried Milan
offensively and helped them remain in the hunt for both the Champions League and Serie A
titles.
