Last month the website commented on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Nicolas Anelka, Guillermo Franco and
Adrian Mutu showing some interest in moving to America to play soccer, and how a move in the
foreseeable future would be a good thing for MLS. And I agree.
In 2007, David Beckham came to the Los Angeles Galaxy in a transfer that made an immediate
impact on the club's revenue and social status among other clubs throughout the world.
I suppose the bizarre part of this story is the fact that a large haul of cannabis was found
stuffed inside a painting of a famous footballer. That's large enough to make front page, headline
news for its oddity and on a day where Adrian Mutu is making headlines for abandoning ship, no less
(fancy that).
Outside of doing lines off a hooker's tender parts presumably is Adrian Mutu really a bad boy,
or just an idiot? Both are probably on the scale, but the weight seems to shift towards the latter.
His latest "drug ban" was for weight-loss supplements, after all.
It's not like he rock-star smashed up his hotel or anything, but rather consumed some adult
beverages a couple of nights before a game.

The Netherlands survived a scare Tuesday to beat Hungary 5-3 and maintain its perfect record in
European Championship qualifying, while Spain extended its unblemished start to Group I with a 3-1
win at Lithuania.
Spain's 15 points puts it six ahead of the Czech Republic, which beat Liechtenstein 2-0.
Robbie Keane made history in the Republic of Ireland's 2-0 victory away at Macedonia on Saturday
after becoming the first player from his country to reach the 50 goal landmark. Keane scored both
goals and thus helped the Republic (Pld 6, Pts 13) top Group B on goals scored ahead of Russia and
Slovakia who also won their Matchday 6 games against Armenia and Andorra respectively.
As the final whistle sounded, the Dino Manuzzi exploded into delirium. Not only had Cesena just
earned a 1-0 win over Brescia but, most importantly, it signified that the Seahorses would be
playing in Serie A the following season. It was a remarkable feat for a club that many had pegged
to be immediate relegation candidates prior to any games being played.

Unfortunately he earned that label. On occasions he displayed a lethal scoring ability; remember
his glorious Parma days partnering an incredible Adriano up front? On the pitch he was a performer,
an icon to his country and a symbol.

2010-11 Recap In their first season back in Serie A since 1990, the belief was the Seahorses would
only enjoy their stay in the top flight for all of 38 games. After three weeks in, Cesena were the
darlings of Serie A, sitting atop the table alongside Inter. The experience at the top didn't last
for long and the club became embattled in the relegation race late in the season.
(original photo by AP Photo) Stevan Jovetic may never have been more damp in his whole life. As he
rose from a giant pool of water on the St James' Park pitch his Fiorentina strip appeared to have
taken on a deeper hue of purple than those of his teammates. Yet despite his soaking he was
grinning from ear to ear, just glad to be back doing what he loves best playing football.

Footy peeps love their Cavalli, and Fiorentina's Adrian Mutu and wifey Consuelo are no diff. The
chic couple made an appearance at Men's Fashion Week in Milan for the A/W 2011/12 show. Love Adri's

We're not too sure what to make of the news today that Newcastle United may be interested in former
Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu. Adrian Mutu an option for Newcastle The player is currently at

12:30pm starts, the Rosanero have slipped to defeat, on this occasion it was visiting Fiorentina

FIORENTINA, Italy — Inter Milan kept up their title challenge with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at

Manuel Pasquale's cross trickled over the line to restore parity. But Giampaolo Pazzini struck the

puns.

golden boy and said that he has experience and a desire to be with Inter.
- Philippe Mexes' future at Roma is still up in the air, but Milan are anxiously looking on.
Claudio Ranieri talking to the Official Chelsea Website, remembers being called "The Tinkerman" and
talks of how now more than ever, it has become more and more apparent in football.
He said:
'In Italy we are used to moving tactically and change system in every match, Do you
remember?
After another round of qualifying for Euro's 2012 it is no surprise to see holders and world
champions Spain on maximum points along with Germany and the Netherlands. Italy and Greece remain
unbeaten after five games while Slovakia are flying high as they bid to reach their first European
Championship.
Guyliner: what's your take on Adrian Mutu's inner-eye rim job?
We might encourage the impression that we're hardened harridans who, when not
falling-over-drunk, can usually be found criticising some poor individual's dress sense, but we
are actually quite tolerant. Quite frankly, we don't care whether you're male or female, play for
Real Madrid or Rotherham United, as long as you rock an individual style and look sexy while doing
it, we don't give a crap.

Milan have finally notched up a win. What a relief. Heading into the game the team was languishing

At the moment, Adrian Mutu stands as the very, very poor posterchild for cocaine in football.
Perhaps for consideration is also Francesco Flachi, who might be floating around an unofficial
pitch somewhere, serving something like eight life suspensions for his none-too-small coke problem.
(He's "only" suspended until 2022, actually.
There are or were, in a few cases -certain possibilities when it comes to international and the
misbehavior of its participants: Gabriel Tamas might get drunk, Adrian Mutu might hit someone,
Zlatan might care, the Czech national team may be found in the general vicinity of ladies of the
night and someone somewhere in South America is going to get suspended for a party.
A single moment of brilliance proved the difference-maker in Sunday's clash between Bologna and
Cesena. The early-season relegation battle looked to be heading for a 0-0 until Marco Parolo's
goal-of-the-season contender stunned the Dall'Ara crowd in the 84th minute. Hosts Bologna went in
as favourites thanks to a good run of form under new coach Stefano Pioli.
