Those who regularly read my pre-matches may have noticed a softening in approach over recent
months; this is due to the Jonah effect. Every time I slagged off a team they took points from us.
However, if nothing else, this season has persuaded me that my "lucky" habits have no effect on
Arsenal's performance, I have used lucky socks, lucky shirts, lucky cakes, lucky beer, lucky wine,
lucky scarves, lucky routes, lucky sweets, and you know what nothing works.

The Israeli international, usually remembered in England for his time at West Ham United and
Liverpool, but not Chelsea, was called a Judas by Chelsea fans. The inference being that because he
is now an Arsenal player, and supporting his current team, he is a traitor.
Yossi Benayoun played only eleven times for Chelsea.
Mancini and his Manchester City have shown us many sides to their character this season. They are
resolute in defence, even without the collossal Nigel de Jong. City have shown that they are not
content to sit back on a lead. They have served up game after game of excellent attacking football,
never resting but always probing.

Throughout the past couple of seasons, something must have been on Cesc Fabregas's mind every time
he pulled on his Arsenal jersey. His adoration for Arsenal was slowly shifting into a deep
homesickness for Barcelona. His past season at Arsenal wasn't his best, as he was probably thinking

Well, what can you say about Saturday night's lost to the Columbus Crew?
If you're first thought was a string of curse words or nothing positive, I'm right there with
you. That wasn't just bad, that was awful...just awful. I don't want to be overly negative
(shocking I know) because at this point, what good is it going to do.
There are a number of players in world football who, for one reason or another, do not enjoy the
kind of adoration from fans that their less 'morally challenged' counterparts do. However, in our
capacity of 'hot bishes of the parish', we reserve the right to perv on any man sporting the

Well how's that for a weather turn around? Last week, on the cusp of freezing rain and freezing
temperatures, today a balmy 21C. The setting was perfect for an afternoon of... PLAGUES!
Just before kick-off, we were greeted with swarms of mosquitoes! All of that money raised for
malaria nets could come in to good use right about now.
Real Madrid great Alfredo Di Stefano ripped into Jose Mourinho for his tactics in the 1-1 draw
against Barcelona, saying the team played like a mouse against a lion of a Catalan side.
Di Stefano, Madrid's honorary president, wrote in his weekly column in sports newspaper Marca on
Monday that the Portuguese coach's team showed no "personality" after a result Saturday that
practically clinches Barcelona's third straight league trophy.
