Arsenal and French midfielder Samir Nasri lifted the lid on how 5
players including him self, don't talk to Defender William
Gallas, but it doesn't effect the teams results he insisted.
Red Bull USA - Red Bull Battle del Toro:
Red Bull Battle Del Toro is a spirited, fiercely competitive homage to the Battle of the Alamo
– soccer style. Throughout this three-day tournament, four U16 teams from Texas featuring some of
the state's biggest phenoms will clash cleats with four U16 teams from Mexico boasting some of the
country's top emerging stars.
Add the Dynamo back to the list of teams without a Designated Player. The club released Luis Angel
Landin yesterday after the zaftig Mexican striker failed to live up to his potential after less
than a year in the league. Though Landin's DP status was in part due to the fees the Dynamo paid to
get him to MLS, it nevertheless represents a disappointing end to the tale.

Happy to admit I didn't see England lose to France, as I was in a pub, and not one of those
football-friendly pubs with a big screen. I caught some post-match punditry in my living room,
which seemed horribly familiar along the lines of "We have to rip it up and start again.
There is a strange feeling hovering around the New England Revolution's most ardent fan base
right now. And it is hard to describe.
The Steve Ralston retirement debacle was the last in a series of "can you do anything right?"
moments. (Yes, I know "it was the league office's fault"... but please, he's a Revolution player,
the Revolution promoted the game as his retirement send-off, and fans expect the Revolution front
office talks to the league more than they do.
This has been a wild day today in terms of the shocking admission from Sir Alex Ferguson that Wayne
Rooney wants out of United. There is plenty of speculation as to where he wants to go and for
what reasons he wants to leave. Every major club in Europe will be chomping at the bit for the
chance to talk to Rooney and persuade him to sign for their respective club.
I will steal Rob's admission on the weekend and simply vault it onto the continental scale: I know
very little about Asian football. On the grandest of scales, I may even know nothing. Some teams,
some of the better players, but more or less, nothing. But I have been enthralled by it for the
last [.
Due to predictions of severe inclement weather to come this Saturday, the Kansas City Wizards
exhibition match versus A.C. St. Louis has been rescheduled to this Friday at 5 p.m. CT at the
Wizards' Swope Park Training Center.
Before the match against St. Louis, the Kansas City Wizards reserves will take on the University of
Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) at 3 p.
When Jamie Carragher made his Liverpool debut more than 13 years ago, he could only dream of one
day being spoken of in the same breath as Alan Hansen.
As two very different defenders, it is unfair to compare them.
What is clear, though, is that they've both produced the quality required to join an elite band of
players who can say they've played over 600 times for Liverpool.
By his own admission Jose Mourinho isn't happy in Italy. He is itching to either return to his
beloved England or satiate his ego further by taking charge of the biggest club of them all –
Real Madrid.
The Champions League will give the ‘Special One' the perfect platform to make a pitch for the
Spanish job.
Like many of you, I'm really looking forward to the World Cup.
A few weeks ago, I wrote a piece about an outdoor viewing party in Seattle. Looks like such an
event will be taking place in Nord Alley, which is near Occidental Park in Pioneer Square. I'm
still working on getting better information, but it looks like all the 11:30 a.
On This Day In Spurs History: 25th June
1984 On this day in 1984, Peter Shreeves was confirmed as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
Shreeves had been Keith Burkinshaw's assistant and was promoted after the Yorkshireman left the
club.
The former-Spur John Pratt would be Shreeves' assistant and they would enjoy great success in
the 1984/85 season, finishing third.
Out of the chaos of the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup has come some degree of consensus.
If today's newspapers have one theme running through them, that theme is that Germany are currently
the best football team in the world and that, to a point, it would be a travesty if they didn't win
the competition.

Word on the internet (Via @arseblog and others) is that Thierry Henry has
finally completed his move to the New York Red Bulls well, it's been on the cards for a while, with
only the small matter of the World Cup preventing the move from taking place earlier in the
summer.
So Cesc made his statement yesterday and committed himself to Arsenal for the season ahead. It
has, naturally enough, sparked all manner of analysis both positive and negative.
For me the most important thing about it was that it was honest. There was no denial of the lure
of Barcelona, no verbose badge kissing, no trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.

Feel the warmth
More proof of Fabio Capello's inability to form a meaningful relationship with anything but
expensive artwork comes via his admission that he ended David Beckham's international career, in
effect, but without bothering to tell Beckham before he announced it to the world.
After scanning the under 21 squad list for the upcoming fixtures against Portugal and Lithuania,
I realised that we have a fantastic group of young players. Look at them: Wiltshire! Smalling!
Albrighton! Rodwell! Carroll!
All these youngsters have shone in the Premier League for their respective clubs, so why can't
they make the step up to senior level and replace the displace Lampard, Gerrard and Beckham- relics
of an already forgotton age?
Two years ago, the last time USC and UCLA met at the Coliseum, a crowd of 7,804 watched the
game, the second highest attendance for a non-NCAA Tournament women's soccer game.
The record isn't much more than that - 8,204 - and USC officials are hoping to break the mark at
the 7 p.m. game Friday between the No.
VANCOUVER, BC — It was a dream-come-true for two Vancouver Whitecaps players but a nightmare for
three others. The Major League Soccer-bound Caps rewarded central midfielder Terry Dunfield and
centre back Greg Janicki with MLS contracts Friday but released goalkeeper Simon Thomas and
defenders Willis Forko and Luca Bellisomo.
This post is probably longer than it should be. If you want the cliffnotes, head over here. We're
going in a little more depth on the crazy train today.
So, even though there's not a contract in hand, it looks like the general consensus from people who
know what they're talking about (congratulations on graduating to that category, Sean Michelle, you
dirty hippy you) is that Guillermo Barros Schelotto has re-signed with the Crew for 2010.
Brisbane's 4-4-2 looks old fashioned. A-League defences learnt how to deal with that seasons ago
and recruited back fours to cut it down. Newcastle were particularly good at that last night and
rarely did Brisbane look threatening - even with Zullo, and in the second half, Zullo and Oar on
the left dipping in cross after cross.

Still unsure as to whether Alex Song will play against Porto on Wednesday so I thought about
Craig Eastmond – the player many hope to see take his place.
We probably all know that Arsene Wenger will replace Song with Denilson sadly, but let's take a
look at just who Craig Eastmond is and where he came from.
Charlie Davies is set to begin training in a month AND will most likely star in M. Night
Shyamalan's follow-up to his 2000 film Unbreakable (nothing like a topical, ten year old movie
reference). Nevertheless, the American forward has returned to France, and conducted a full
interview that was posted online yesterday.
The mask now seems likely to slip. After seventeen years of wearing a mask of opulence and
limitless wealth, the Premier League self-made reputation as The Richest League In The World will
face its most severe test yet, as Portsmouth face the inevitable and collapse into administration.
Their only reasonable prospect of avoiding administration would be to find new owners by the end of
the week, which is an admission in itself that the club has simply been unable to find the new
investors that had been talked about as being the next people to try and sort the carnage at
Fratton Park out.
For this, read the full release:
The Kansas City Wizards announced today the club's formation of a new competition, with fellow
Midwestern club A.C. St. Louis set to be the inaugural opponent. The contest, dubbed the
"Supporters' Showdown," will consist of a game between the Kansas City Wizards and A.
Everyone and their dog are currently reporting the news that Wilson Palacios has admitted that
he has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid. Whilst it would be preferable if Wilson had kept his
ambitions to himself, I don't think that it's something that should cause us major concern.
I've already read views from Spurs fans claiming that this admission is disrespectful to both
the club that pays his wages and the supporters that cheer him on.
The University of Wisconsin women's soccer team kicks off its seven-game spring schedule with a
pair of games Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.
The Badgers will play Central Michigan at 10:30 a.m., then face Loyola (Ill.) at 2 p.m. In
between, the Chippewas and the Ramblers play each other at 12:45 p.
With a week off before the Major Indoor Soccer League championship game, the Milwaukee Wave will
stay sharp by playing an exhibition match March 27 at Keva Sports Center in Middleton.

League championship game.
Fox Sports Wisconsin will televise the match between the Wave and either the Baltimore Blast or
Monterrey LaRaZa live from Milwaukee's U.S. Cellular Arena at 5 p.m.
Madison United manager Raj Rajani has nearly finalized the 13-player roster for
his team's match against the Major Indoor Soccer League regular-season champion Milwaukee Wave.
United, which won the Wisconsin Adult Soccer Association Major League outdoor title last spring,
will play the Wave in an exhibition game Saturday night at Keva Sports Center in Middleton.

Downham Market, also known simply as Downham, is a town Norfolk. It lies on the edge of the Fens,
on the River Great Ouse, south of the town of King's Lynn, west of Norwich and north of Cambridge.
The Miami FC Blues continue their pre-season this week when they play against Barry University with
all proceeds going to Haiti Relief. The game will be on Saturday, March 20th. Admission to the game
requires a cash or soccer gear donation. The game starts at 7pm at Barry University's campus. So
far the Blues have won 2 games and their only loss coming against the New York Red Bulls.
By Edson Buddle's own admission, he's a long shot for the US World Cup team. His torrid start to
2010 is, for him, a matter of "rhythm" and "the ball just going in" rather than any significant...
I think I'm feeling like a lot of Gooners today, I have just lost the energy to get angry about
another disappointing defeat. The Holic sums things up nicely and I can't disagree with a word he
says. The game summed up just what we lack to the title this year, even Arsene admitted that we
lacked the sharpness in the fight and that's a worrying admission.

Harry Redknapp has revealed that Tottenham were bullied, effectively, by Manchester City when
the two clubs were involved in a bidding war for Wales striker Craig Bellamy.
"They blow you out of the water," Redknapp said.
By his own admission, one of Gerard Houllier's biggest regrets was letting pass the opportunity to
buy a young Swedish winger by the name of Freddie Ljungberg. At the time Houllier was looking to
rebuild Liverpool's defence and there was little money which he could gamble on Ljungberg's talent.
A month later, Arsenal paid £3 million to get him and he went on to become one of the finest
players to come to England.
Minnesota's newest National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) team, the Minnesota Kings
FC, will be playing two matches this weekend against Minnesota's first NPSL team, the
Twin Stars. Kings owner Tim Haselberger came up with the Haiti
benefit shortly after the devastating earthquake hit the island nation in January.
Apparently it's not appropriate for a guy who writes a blog to speak his mind, especially when
it comes to a certain player's future with our illustrious club. I'm talking about Fabregas.
Let's look at some reader comments shall we?
Steven writes:
They want our captain and playmaker, he is under contract for 3 more years and he also wants to
go.
Kings v Twin Stars Match is today at Mounds View High School on Sunday May 23rd at 5:00
pm.
Come catch some NPSL action and help the people of Haiti by bringing a non-perishable canned
food item for a $1.00 discounted admission to the game. Tickets are $5.00 without a food item.
Griffey Retires
There are a few stories that I wanted to write tonight, but honestly I'm distracted by this day
that is both sad as it is an admission that he's finally and truly done, and happy because the team
can move onwards.
I have a lot of stories from my time following Griff. Prior to the Army when I had the
opportunity to shag balls in the outfiled for the Mariners and met him on a personal level.
