In our continuing preparation for FIFA World Cup 2010, here's yet another El Tri (that's the
nickname for the Mexican national soccer team) Soccer Babe . This time round it's an Mexico City
born model Catherine Elizabeth Leah rocking the brand new adidas Mexico World Cup 2010 home
jersey (or "camiseta" if you prefer).
It's round Since every World Cup produces an accompanying matchball which is supposedly "rounder"
than its predecessor, you could be forgiven for thinking that footballs are now about as round as
they are likely to get. Not so, according to Adidas. They will officially unveil their Adidas
Jabulani ball at Friday's World Cup draw and are sticking [.
Say hello to FC Tokyo's new Adidas home (left) and away shirts. I think they're two of the
smartest kits Adidas has designed in ages. Apart from the awesome new Germany kit, Adidas has come
up with a string of turkeys for this season (the current Chelsea home kit, for example, or the
incredibly bland Nigeria World Cup kit which the Nigerian FA has apparently rejected as too
generic).
Cape Town / Herzogenaurach (December 4, 2009) – adidas and FIFA present the adidas "JABULANI,"

the 09/11 training kits for adidas [.
The official Argentina adidas World Cup 2010 home jersey has been on the market for the past few
weeks. However, we hadn't had any idea of what El Albiceleste's alternate kit (also their 2010/12
home shirt) would look like until now. Here's a leak coming out of South America of the Argentina
adidas World Cup 2010 away [.

Jabulani has 11 colors honouring each of South Africa's eleven official languages, the 11 match
ball, and the 11 players on the field.
We've seen some great soccer jersey releases in 2009. The tight-fitting retro look made a strong
comeback as the oversized kits of the early to mid 2000s made way for team wear that more closely
reflected today's contemporary fashion. In celebration of the year that was in the world of footie
kits, we've made a [.
World Cup 2010 kits have gone high tech. Seriously high tech.
How high tech, you ask?
Well, according to the official Adidas press release:
Through the use of compression fabrics and applied TPU bands in specific areas, TECHFIT is
proven to increase a player's power by 5.

Here's one that just crept onto my radar. For those of you still recoiling in distaste at this
seasons brand on kits, lovingly provided by Puma, help may be on the way. Hidden in the middle of
this Newcastle themed article comes the tantalising news that Tottenham and Adidas on reportedly
are on the verge of a new deal.
Adidas has announced that the roundest ball ever, the Jubulani, will be used during
next summer's World Cup finals in South Africa. It continues the trend to improving balls which

The key piece of equipment, footballs have been iconic.

This past weekend professional player Niko Gkionis, pictured above and guest blogger for us,
scored his first pro GOAL! He wrote a guest blog about it on Tuesday. That is a pretty cool
feeling and I was glad he could share it with us!
But he isn't the only one having firsts happening.
