As Spurs boss Harry Redknapp looks to further strengthen his squad this summer, fans of the
North London club are approaching one of the most anticipated seasons in club history after a
brilliant end to a successful one last May.
After Tottenham open the 2010-2011 Premier League season at home v Manchester City, they've only
a few short days until their all important UEFA Champions League two leg playoff series against the
club they'll be pitted against from Champions League third round qualifying.

Fabio Cannavaro shines on his home debut for Al-Ahli Dubai:
You have to wonder about the quality of a league in which a leggy old defender like Cannavaro is
allowed the time and space to play like Adel Taarabt on speed, but hey, it's still a very nice
pass.
With the long term injury to Hatem Ben Arfa and Newcastle's current position in 5th bottom place in
the Premier League, Newcastle will again delve into the transfer market for reinforcements in
January. Adel Taarabt 21 year-old QPR play-maker The very last thing Newcastle want is another
relegation season, and while we don't think that [.

Hart facing QPR axe over Taarabt row - exclusive

Paul Hart is fighting to save his job as QPR manager after falling out with Adel Taarabt.
Former Portsmouth boss Hart, 56, was put in charge of Championship Rangers in December until the
end of the season.

"Good luck mate here's to the next five!"
The revolving door on the manager's office at Loftus Road has struck another unlucky schmuck on
the backside this morning as Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that Paul Hart
has left the club after just five games in charge.
Apologies for the radio silence, been sunning myself in the land of Adel Taarabt and Noureddine
Naybet over the last few days. Therefore, if you want a blow-by-blow analysis of this game, look
elsewhere – as indeed I'm sure you have done, at some point since Saturday afternoon.
Premiership goings-on are not top of the agenda in Morocco, but I did eventually ascertain the
outcome of this one.

On This Day In Spurs History: 24th May
1914 Two months before the outset of the First World War, Spurs made the rather silly decision
to tour Germany. On this day in 1914 we drew 1-1 with Stuttgart and this match, along with the
others on the tour, was most notable for the fact that our hostile German hosts kicked us all over
the park.

1983 On this day in 1983, the club announced that it would be floating on the stock market, in
an attempt to raise £3.8m. Before long Spurs would be buying the sportswear manufacturer Hummel
and generally trying to act more like a commercial business than a football club.
According to Francisco Acedo at Sky Sports News, Tottenham midfielder
Adel Taarabt admitted that he is unsure about his future with the club. He
said,
"I still do not have a clear future ... I need to speak with Spurs to clear up the
situation.

Outbound Arsenal centre-back William Gallas may face legal action from the
Union of Tunisian Dentists after inadvertently "damaging the image" of the entire nation's dental
workers.
Gallas flew his personal dentist (who hails from Tunisia) out to the World Cup for treatment at
a cost of £20,000 and duly proceeded to publicly question the quality of healthcare in the north
African country on his website after undergoing a botched procedure.
With news out that Harry Redknapp launched a bid to sign West Ham skipper Scott Parker it leaves
us wondering whether or not he would actually improve the Spurs squad.
Tottenham will be hoping to secure a Champions League group stage place and for another
successful Premier League campaign this season and Parker is not a player many would have expected
them to be chasing this summer.

August is with us. Not long to go now. This tiresome land-fill of an interlude
is beginning to be bulldozed aside and there're definite signs of life at the bottom. Somewhere.
Amongst all the bin bags and tabloid excrement. Yes. The season is tip-toeing nearer. Real,
genuine, bona-fide soccer ball.
According to Tottenham's official website, Tottenham have agreed to sell
21-year-old midfielder Adel Taraabt to QPR.

Adel Taarabt (QPR)
Signed by QPR after an impressive loan spell, the 21 year old winger was once touted as the
'next Zidane'. You could argue that the claim is a tad far-fetched now, but it was proposed with
intent – he is still a quality player, still learning his trade in a competitive division.
Gylfi Sigurðsson
Reading's leap from relegation candidates to play off contenders last season was no fluke.
Instead it was due to a step up in quality, most notably from midfielder Sigurosson . The
Icelandic international won Player of the Month for March with a return of 5 goals in 6 games as
well as a player of the season award.
Connor Wickham (Ipswich Town)
Roy Keane recently said he would be 'lynched' if he let Connor leave the club after the season
he has had. But Alf-Inge Haaland's dream almost came true when an 8 million bid from Tottenham was
'seriously' considered by the club. At the tender age of 17 the Tractor Boys youngster has already
played over 30 competitive games with a return of 5 goals.
