Arsenal have won some silverware!!!!! Before you get hopes up it's our very impressive youth
team who havent lost a single match since December. Yesterday we had not a lot to do after beating
LIverpool youth 4-1 at The Emirates we went to Liverpool and also won 2-1. I have watched both legs
on Setanta and we are gonna be invincible again.
Well today has prevailed a lot of Arsenal transfer rumours and gossip:
The main story of the day has come from The Daily Star and it has said Barry has chosen
Arsenal as his number one club he wants to move to this summer, in the quest for champions league
football. The Daily Star says that Rafa Benitez will not bid again for him becuase he couldn't move
last summer so this leaves the path for Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City (although they are
linked with everyone now though aren't they).

Bookmakers always provide an valuable insight into professional football research, since they above
anyone else have shedloads of their own money on the line. That makes their offers not only
interesting but relevant to the Fantasy Football manager. Lets look at a few, starting with goal
scoring options.
Here in all its glory...
It's pretty bad. Fortunately for RVP he didn't get it full in the face - could've taken an eye
out. Let's hope the FA throw the book at him - I'd love a ten match ban.
More on this:
Manchester City's sensational 4-2 victory over Arsenal, maintaining their 100% winning start to
the season, was soured tonight when Arsenal's Robin van Persie accused his former team-mate,
Emmanuel Adebayor, of committing a "mindless and malicious stamp" on him.
The silence has been deafening from the Emirates. The silence that is, to deny that Adebayor
is not leaving the club.
In the past and we can look at Vieira, every season he was with us, Henry for the last three
season, Cesc last two seasons and even Adebayor last season, Wenger was very vocal in telling
everyone that these players were going nowhere.
Having provided possible photos of the 2009/2010 Arsenal away kit last week, we are now certain
in saying that midnight blue will be our away colours for next season after the kit was shown on
the club's official website.
More photos can be found here.
Ivory Coast International Yaya Toure may leave Barcelona but if he does, it will not be to join
Arsenal. His agent, Dmitri Seluk, said:
There are many teams interested in Toure. He will not go to Arsenal because he has better offers
and nor will he go to Germany, but his future could be in Italy or in England.

Arsenal midfielder Andriy Arshavin says he expects a large number of Premier League
stars to abandon England in the near future, as the tax band is almost twice as big as in
Spain.
Another season was won or lost, depending on which club you support, but there's one thing in
common for all football fans, come June. ‘It's the time to transfer!'
Every tabloid has its own set of exclusive speculations, and if all of them were to be true,
none of us would remain fans in a few years.
Well before I start I've got a lot two get through. So this might take a while!
£15 million bid for Melo
According to "News of the World" and the "Daily Mirror" Arsenal have made a £15 million bid for
Brazil and Fiorentina's defensive midfield player, as I already discussed a few days earlier to
this post.
FC Zurich's 15-year old Martin Angha was signed by Arsenal and will join the club in January
2010, according to reports. 20 Minuten reports how the North London club made contact with the
youngster in 2007, after which the player was reported as saying:
I trained there once with the under-19 side.
Freshly spashing around the news headlines at the moment, Edwin Van der Sar is out for two months
after surgery on a broken finger and bone in his left hand.
The Guardian reports Van der Sar sustained the injury saving a penalty during United's shoot-out
against Bayern Munich in a pre-season tournament in Germany last week and United have confirmed he
will be out for "up to eight weeks".
This weekend's headlines were stolen by Emmauel Adebayor even before a ball was
kicked. Saturday morning, Adebayor finally lashed out at his former club Arsenal,
moments before the Gunners kicked-off a challenging visit to the
Eastlands.
I watched the infamous Arsene Wenger meets the shareholders Question and Answer session on
Arsenal TV the other day. I was sitting waiting for the vitriolic attacks on Silvestre (well
deserved, a liability), the criticism of Adebayor, Song and Diaby. I was looking forward to hear
what Arsene actually about these players.
Adebayor scored one of the best goals I have seen in a long, long time. If you didn't get the
chance to see it, please enjoy this video to the fullest. I know I did.
The Milan hierarchy seem intent on chasing the Gunners striker Emmanuel Adebayor. Despite reports
suggesting that Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor was set to reject a move to AC Milan, the Italian
club still seem ready to make an offer for the player, according to The Mirror. The Serie A club
are now, according to the British tabloid, [.
Afternoon all, No Bentner has not been snapped up by the NBA (which is bitterly dissapointing),
and Adebayor has not signed a multi million pound deal with a club none of us have ever heard
of situated somewhere distant where he will never see the Champions League or much ever again
(which would be great)!
Of course, he probably won't win the Golden Boot this year - but here's an interesting analysis
from betting site Chicken Dinner - that has Arsenal's Adebayor the "last man standing" for the
2009-2010 Premier League scoring title.
My money is on one of Torres or Anelka - with Rooney as a dark horse, but at 28 to 1, Adebayor does
offer tons of upside for desperate gamblers.
Villareal visit Arsenal for tonight's Champions League Quarter Final. The first leg ended 1-1.
Here's how I think they'll line up:
Adebayor Van Persie
Nasri Denilson Cesc Walcott
Gibbs Silvestre Toure Sagna
Fabianski
It could be Diaby in place of Denilson, but other than that, I'm feeling confident about my
predicted lineup.
Whilst we are looking forward to players arriving next season, a squad can only have so many
players, so inevitably there will be departures.
The possible or rather imminent departure of Adebayor has been well documented, but the Togolese
striker will not be alone.
Reports today have Inter Milan wanting van Persie and Mourinho is prepared to spend £25 million
for the Dutch striker.
Here I am, 24 days after my last part of last's season review, putting down some thoughts about
all the news we read about in the last month. I didn't have much to write about lately so I
preferred to stay quiet and let the rest of the team update you guys with news and transfer
rumours. But today, I want to share some thoughts with you, plenty of them actually.
They Think It's All Over... fears for Arsenal's season as Wenger again seems to be over-estimating
the depth of his squad and refusing to splash the necessary cash.
I have watched this 20 times and it's clear to me that a) Robin Van Persie puts in a poorly
timed (but not malicious) tackle and b) Emmanuel Adebayor deliberately stamped on the Arsenal
striker. Anyone think differently?
Fulham v Arsenal tickets still available Click Here
Here is what the Dutchman and Adebayor had to say about the incident after the game.
You can't wait to watch Manchester derby tomorrow in Old Trafford? Are you kind of disappointed
because you won't see City's star 'Manu' Adebayor in the pitch? Are you an Arsenal fan fed up with
your team's last performances and bored enough to play the first random game you could find? Well,
we have this for [.

The club currently has five international strikers plus two more forwards who will be more
comfortable playing as a striker. Is it time we re-assessed our strike force and attacking
midfielders and played players in their rightful positions?
Carlos Vela will develop into a good striker, whether he becomes a scoring
sensation in the Premier League is questionable.
It's still a few months before the start of the European soccer leagues and teams are stating to
make moves in the transfer market. Here are some of the latest transfer stories.
AC Milan looking at Adebayor - "AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed
he has talked to Arsenal about the possibility of signing Emmanuel Adebayor.
Manchester City are spending more money on players than Elton John does on flowers and most people
I know are immediately assuming that a top four finish on the cards for them at the expense of
Arsenal.
It makes me laugh. Of course if Manchester City keep spending at the rate they are then they will
eventually challenge for a place in the top four.
Its a list, and a damned long one, but well worth taking a look at! We love Four Four Two,
almost as much as we love Fennec Fox's.
Our friends over at Four Four Two have compiled their annual list of the top
100 players in the world today, take a look below and let us know what you think?
Having won the treble in style, Barcelona are all-over the headlines, not just for having won
things but of course, for the way they did it. No ugly football, no defending after taking the
lead, just nice passing and nice football.
Now to be honest, the Spaniards have ALWAYS put on show this type of football game and when they
had coaches who wanted to change that, they got fired straight away, so to those who love Wenger no
matter what, no, he's not the only coach who can teach his players to play like that.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger revealed his intention is not to sell any of his players but rather
to bring two new players to strengthen the squad.
He said:
We lost Hleb and Flamini last summer and we have had to rebuild.
But we have done that now and the future looks bright.
Several website are reporting that Arsenal's pursuit of Marouane Chamakh to replace Adebayor has
run into trouble. The stumbling block and this does not make sense is that Bordeaux want
Silvestre as part of the deal.
What is strange is that it was widely reported that the Moroccan striker had a £7million
buyout clause.
So, now that John Terry's staying at Chelsea, surely there's nothing to fill up the transfer
pages, right?
Far from it, as Monday saw plenty of money change hands (or get ready to). We've got a few
big-money deals to add to the latest updates to our summer transfer lists, and there are a few more
that are not too far behind, according to this morning's roundup of transfer tidbits.
Andrey Arshavin's official web site published a 7-question interview with Arsenal's midfielder
which was published two days ago of which we are providing an extract. For the complete interview,
kindly visit Andrey's official website at http://arshavin.eu/news.php?id=406.
Q: Who do you have the best understanding with on the pitch?
On Tuesday we published Part I of our Premier League Predictions: Revisited column covering 2008,
and here's part II - covering 2009.
The Good:
"De Jong Not Worth It, No goals assists or bonus, Just Like Nicky Butt." A spot on haiku about the
massively overpaid Dutchman. De Jong failed to impress after a January transfer move from Hamburg.
Summer madness has hit us all.
Real Madrid led the way with £56 million and £80 million transfers of Kaka and Ronaldo
respectively. Manchester City paid £12 million for Barry with a further £140,000 a-week in wages,
whilst they are about to land Santa Cruz for £18 million. Manchester United have waved goodbye
to two of their top players in Ronaldo and Tevez.
Adebayor holds the key as to whether we see two or more players move to Arsenal this summer.
Unlike last season when Wenger was determined that Adebayor will not leave, this season he is
"easy" with the situation. In fact I have never known Wenger "tout" a player as he has done with
Adebayor this season.
If there was ever a put down, then Bordeaux President Jean-Louis Triaud takes the top prize.
On hearing that Sunderland were interested in Marouane Chamakh, he merely stated, "I don't want
to insult Sunderland, but I don't even know where they finished last season.
"You have heard him say he will only sign for a big English club.
Emmanuel Adebayor has passed a medical and will move to Manchester City once his work
permit is approved.
The Togo striker, who has spent three-and-a-half seasons at Arsenal, is believed to be valued at
£25m.
The 25-year-old, who scored 16 times for the Gunners last season, has also been linked to AC
Milan and Chelsea.
