Weird!
EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR'S feud with Robin van Persie began last season when he walked off with
his strike partner's boots.
And the disgraced Adebayor will add insult to injury by dragging Van Persie into his battle with
the FA.
The City striker was banned for three matches for raking Dutchman Van Persie's face with his
studs during last week's explosive clash with Arsenal.
Arseblog does its best to shift Ade Emmanuel Adebayor is following in the footsteps of Michael Owen
and his ultimately successful advertising brochure with his own promotional leaflet. The
tongue-in-cheek document has been produced by Arseblog. You can click here to view the other pages.
Adebayor celebrated the goal by taking a swipe at the club where he spent three years.
"At Arsenal the fans would boo me, so it's nice to be at a club were the fans love me," he
said. "The stick wasn't fair."
Very classy. Ade could not just be happy scoring his debut goal.
So i wake up early this Saturday morning, tune into sky sports news hoping to hear some good
news how Chelsea might of lost or all the Scums players broke their legs on the way back from
wembley when i hear that Sunderland of all teams have signed Lorik Cana.
Lets take a step back now, the same Lorik Cana that alot of Arsenal fans are crying out for and
someone who would suit us perfectly and would have been the perfect addition for us!
Yesterday's 2-0 triumph over Manchester City was a vision of what might have been. I wonder what
this season would of looked like had Adebayor worked tirelessly and finished well when he was
healthy. What would have happened if Cesc hadn't unluckily injured his knee against Liverpool? His
first appearance in 2009 looked liked he had never missed nearly four months of action, and two he
was back with a bang, setting up Adebayor on two goals against the Citizens.
There's been very little going on this year in terms of players coming in but I think Arsene
Wenger has the right idea. Getting 25 Million for Ade was genius. I'm not going to come out and say
that he'll be a failure at Man City but it was obvious to us all that he had peaked at Arsenal.
I have managed to get hold of one Arsenal fan that was in the stands, directly at the front when
everything kicked off against City after Adebayor's goal celebrations.
As it turns out, the 'Elephant' song, as it is being coined in the press, was not sung in the
stands at all. It was the 'Arshavin version'.
That's right, they get me all hot and bothered. Why you ask? Well if you saw how we played against
Manchester City yesterday then they would be making you wet as well. Remember when I was talking
about that 4-2-3-1 formation? Well we went with it and it worked incredibly well. The lineup looked
like this:
Almunia
Sagna-Gallas-Toure-Clichy
Song-Denilson
Walcott-Cesc-Arshavin
Adebayor
Adebayor and Cesc were both making their returns from long term injury absences and neither one of
them was the least bit disappointing.
It was back to training today for the players, or at least most of them, as pre-season began in
earnest ahead of our first warm up match against Barnet in eleven days time. You can take a look at
photos here, and while we shouldn't read too much into the first day back, they do raise a few
points:
- Rumours that Vermaelen is short are wide of the mark.
Interviewer: Let's look at your season as a whole. You've scored 15 goals in all competitions,
and you are the top scorer aged 21 or under in the Premier League. Pretty encouraging . . .
Bendtner: I didn't know that, but its quite a good stat! Did you know that i'm also our
top scorer in this calendar year?
Manchester City are fretting over potential racist chants being directed at Emmanuel Adebayor
during the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Sept 20. Despite the fact that City have Ade's
former club as their next game, they're more worried about the Manchester derby, where fans are
expected to sing the racist chant towards the Togolese frontman.
by CARL ELDRIDGE April 24, 2010. A date for your diary. A date for Emmanuel Adebayor's diary.
Yes, you guessed correctly. It is the day when Manchester City and Mr Adebayor pay a visit to the
home of football.
His indefensible actions yesterday in front of the travelling Gooners in the 4-2 defeat at
Eastlands are sure to have an impact on the kind of reception the Togo tosser can expect, wouldn't
you say?
It always feels good to see Spurs lose, especially if we're the one that beat them
If Arsenal were to win anything this season, Robin Van Persie's contribution to it would be very
very vital. If Fabregas is the fulcrum of the side and the player others look for the ammunition,
then RVP will the one looking to be at the end of those supplies.
After swimming to work this morning I was checking the Dynamo news and came across this
interesting article. It's one of the Orange faithful updating Burnley FC on the progress of Ade
Akinbiyi. Give it a read.
Also, this photo is of Burnley's mascot. Isn't it odd to have a person as a mascot?
Whether you like him or not, it's seems more and more likely that Emmanuel Adebayor WON'T be
leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer. Despite reiterating his commitment days ago, unreliable
blogs and newspapers continue to link the Togo frontman with some of Europe's footballing elite.
Gooner Talk have listed 5 reasons why Ade won't be [.

Arsene Wenger hopes the French influence at Arsenal will lure Karim Benzema to the Emirates Stadium
but he will have to move soon after Real Madrid offered £27 million for the striker. Mega-rich
Real have moved to add Lyon's Benzema to their other stellar summer signings, Cristiano Ronaldo
from Manchester United and Kaka from AC Milan.
Huge change in direction – or is it.....Kolo, Ade and maybe Eboue SOLD

I don't sense you all crying yourselves to sleep over this. You can't fool real football fans any
longer. They know what they see.
Every summer sees rampant speculation that Barcelona will finally pull Cesc Fabregas away from
Arsenal. In the lead up to Saturday's North London Derby, even former Gunner Emmanuel Adebayor
once again fueled rumors by saying that if Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League, then
Fabregas will be on his way to Catalunya come summer.

Turkish winger Arda Turan wants to join Arsenal, according to his agent.
AC Milan are hatching a plan to lure Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor to Italy, according to
reports. Il Corriere Dello Sport claims Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti, who also has Gunners left back
Gael Clichy on his radar, is devising a master plan to convince Arsene Wenger to part with the
£35million-rated Adebayor.
Adebayor's representative Stephane Courbis told Calciomercato.it that there are no offers for
his client and preferred not to talk about what would happen if A.C. Milan - who sold Kaka' to Real
Madrid - make a move for the Ivory Coast International.
He said:
I met (Arsenal boss Arsene) Wenger yesterday but we did not talk about selling him because at
the moment there are no significant offers.
Well I'm back from two weeks in 35 degree Cyprus Could of done with a bit more.
Well much has gone on since Ive been away and I would like first of all to thank Harregas the
gooner to keep you all updated.
Adebayor
First of all it appeared he was out after Ac Milan couldn't get Dzeko from Wolfsburg so they sad
Ade was second and a bid appeared to be coming.
Most summers, the transfer rumours in the press are so ludicrous that sometimes it is simply
best to avoid them. I've been trying my best not to get dragged into speculation over too many
players, whether coming or going, but with news beginning to pick up, and stories starting to have
some substance, it is time to come out of the woodwork.
Adebayor moves to City. A five year deal, worth £25 million to Arsenal.
I think Adebayor and Tevez hired the same PR person. It would have been refreshingly honest, if
just for once they said it was all about the money. But on cue its never about that.
"People who think that I have joined City for the money are wrong," he asserted.
I personally think Emmanuel Adebayor's recent comments reek of inconsistency and in small
places, lies. I know some fans are disappointed to see him leave; some believe he still has a lot
to offer. In my opinion, sometimes a player has to go, no matter how much they may or may not have
to give to the team.
Hello all. I'm back. I needed to re-charge my blogging batteries so I stopped for the summer when
Arsenal's season ended - after the champions league exit against United.
But I'm starting to get excited about next season in a most unusual way.
Normally, signings are the things that gets the modern football fan out of his seat and into the
blogosphere.
Well, that wasn't very much fun. I haven't found a good "highlights" video yet, but will post it
when I do.
I guess my thought is this let's not overreact. Yes, this is a bad result for us. Yes, I thought
the match was pretty evenly matched, so to come out of it with 0 points. Yes, it sucks to watch
Adebayor stomp a player in the face, get away with it, then score a goal and celebrate in front of
Arsenal's fans (stay classy, Ade.
Thanks to Studs Up for coming up with their usual brilliant take on a topical
issue. Perhaps if RVP and Ade see this they will laugh off their collective anger and the world
will be a better place, well probably not. CLICK HERE to see the comic sketch.

Jonjon's view on Yesterday's game.
I had to talk about the game as I was about to burst inside..
That was magnificent, that performance showed many aspects of the new improved 2009-10
team...
A while ago, I think it was Ave and me that talked about the fact that if we learned to finish
off our chances we dont need to worry about defending.
Morning all. Yesterday was tough wasn't it? I felt like we had been building up to that match for
quite awhile, and I was so excited for it just to be let down. A promising start gave way to a
pretty miserable ending. There aren't many things worse than watching your team lose in a cup
semi-final, but one of the things that is worse is watching the Chelsea cunts celebrate after
beating your team.
Lots to get to today, including a story that could very well represent the biggest change to
English Football since the Taylor report recommended abolishing terraces in the wake of the
Hillsborough disaster. Unfortunately, I can't devote any space to the story that a group of MPs
have decided on their own that three of the top four teams are engaged in 'financial doping' and
that English teams should adopt the 6+5 rule, irregardless of the fact that it's illegal and
immoral.
The big dance is tomorrow. Arsenal finds out whether they can pull off what will be one of their
biggest wins. Against a Man Utd team that is great at closing out the deal. The CL final spot is on
the line.
A 4-4-2 or a 4-2-3-1?
The latter formation did not work because Adebayor was very effectively neutralized by Ferdinand
and Vidic and there was no striker tandem to offset that advantage.
As I was cruising around the internet tonight, I came across this - mighty Houston Head Coach
Dominic "The Dom" Kinnear speaking on the latest edition of MLSNet Extratime. A number of topics
are discussed including Houston's perennial slow starts, Holden in the middle, Cameron at the back,
how generally wonderful we are and Akinbiyi "the horse".
UPDATE: According to ESPN Soccernet, Arsenal striker
Emmanuel Adebayor has not had any contact with AC Milan. His
agent Stephane Courbis told Calciomercato.it,
"I met [Arsenal boss Arsene] Wenger yesterday but we did not talk about
selling him because at the moment there are no significant offers .
Morning all,
there's little but transfer scuttlebut to occupy us so we might as well get on with that. Both
the Mirror and the Mail link us with Wolfsburg's Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko. The Mirror says £8m,
the Mail £12m, and both see him as a replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor.
I don't know a great deal about him other than he's had a fine season for the German side,
scoring 26 goals to help them to the Bundesliga title.
Adebayor could be at the Eastlands next season
Adebayor maybe leaving the Emirates finally.
The Carlos Tevez transfer is in the bag but City wants to add Emmanuel Adebayor to its
complement of eight strikers for more firepower. They have offered Arsenal more than £20 million
and Ade £150,000 a week in wages.
I just wanted to provide a quick update on some transfer news that makes slightly less headlines
than Ade's imminent exit.
Firstly there is the news that Veljko Batrovic has been offered a trial at Arsenal. At the age
of 15, this diminutive forward has already drawn comparisons to Lionel Messi for his style of
play.
Well, it's official. The Togonator is gone. It's worth taking a moment to look back on his time
at the club.
Ade arrived at the club from Monaco for a mere £3 million in January 2006. He hadn't really set
the world on fire there, scoring just 18 goals in 79 games. Then he showed up, a tall, skinny,
clumsy, giraffe of a man, and everybody, myself included, thought Wenger had just accomplished the
equivalent of flushing £3 million down the toilet.
It does seem to have been a cracking week for real and imaginary Arsenal news.
We've had the exit of two established, experienced players and yet, for the most part, Arsenal
fans all see the logic of both sales. Put bluntly, Wenger wanted to sell both Adebayor and Toure,
and has done so with bells on, making around £40m.
