Last Saturday, Liverpool closed out their run in the inaugural NextGen Series with victory over Marseille in the third place game. It may not have been the final players or the fans would have been hoping for, it was rather overshadowed by the senior match taking place on the same day, and it was an untelevised affair played behind closed doors at Chelsea's training facilities.
