Here's another former SKC Wizards update. The MLS season is getting closer. Some of the names in
the unknown category will probably start to jump onto teams here in the near future. Here's the
rest of the update.

Another week of Sporting KC Wizards updates. As mentioned yesterday, 8 former players are up for
the US Soccer Hall of Fame. Coming up soon, Stephane Auvray will figure out his new team in India
when the new premier league holds it draft for "lesser known" and Indian players. Also, Neal Kitson
is on the move, joining Northampton Town of the Football League 2.
And I'm not talking about Beckham's 2-year $15 million contract.
I'm talking about Omar Gonzalez. Last month Omar pulled out of the national team training camp
for a very exciting loan move to Nurnberg. His very first day there he suffered a season ending
injury at the hands well, feet of his USMNT teammate Timmy Chandler.
A day late due to the Comets game last night, but here is this week's former SKC Wizards update. In
news this week, Shavar Thomas has a new team, having signed for the expansion Montreal Impact.
Here's the rest of this week's update.

Here's another week of former SKC Wizards updates. First, came word last week that Craig Rocastle
will not be playing for the Missouri Comets. Instead he has moved to Greece where he's joined his
former club, Thrasyvoulos Fylis FC, who is currently at the bottom of the second division in
Greece. In other news, Ryan Smith has come out with his side of what happened when he left KC.

Another week of former SKC Wizards updates, some extra news this week as well. By now you've heard
about Craig Rocastle signing with the Missouri Comets, but there's other news as well. Eddie
Johnson's club career continues to spiral down for him, as he's already out at Puebla in Mexico.
Apparently the forward failed his physical and was not fit and was released basically 2 days after
showing up in Mexico.
An incredibly quiet week in former SKC Wizards news with the Christmas season in full affect. But
here is your update for this week.

While the retaining of David Beckham's services remains up in the air for the Los Angeles
Galaxy, five other players saw their contract situations get a lot clearer on Friday.
Sean Franklin and Bryan Jordan re-signed with Los Angeles, while Adam Cristman's option was
picked up, allowing Bruce Arena to keep key parts of the deep squad that won the 2011 MLS Cup and
Supporters' Shield.
*The Galaxy announced this morning that the club has re-signed starting defender/midfielder Sean
Franklin as well as Bryan Jordan of Temple City and reserve striker Adam Cristman for the 2012
season. The Galaxy also announced they have signed MLS veteran Pat Noonan and goalkeeper Nick
Noble. Here's more on the
A day late on the former SKC Wizards update, but being a day late has given me a little extra news
to post. Word on the Twitter account for Mexican club, Puebla FC is that they are signing former
Wizards player, Eddie Johnson. Johnson would join the brother of another Wizard, as DaMarcus
Beasley also plays for Puebla FC.
Another former SKC Wizards Update, plenty of player movement this week. Jonathan Leathers, Rauwshan
McKenzie, and Ryan Pore are now without clubs after not being selected in the second stage of the
re-entry draft. They're joined by Shavar Thomas who also wasn't selected. Also looking for a new
club, is Stephane Auvray whose was let go by the Red Bulls.
By Thera Reyes, getting her first taste of Beckham and MLS in Manila
Two years ago, it would have been unheard of to have an international football team come to
Manila. Heck, football fans even recently travelled to Malaysia to watch Arsenal, Chelsea and
Liverpool for their Asian tours.
Here is this week's former SKC Wizards update for you. No really big news this week when it comes
to former Wizards, so here's the update.

Sporting Kansas City continued their busy start to the offseason, making another trade. This time,
the team brought in left sided midfielder/back, Bobby Convey from the San Jose Earthquakes. In
return, Sporting KC is sending an international roster spot to the Quakes. A bit of a surprising
move for KC sending the international spot to San Jose, as KC will now go from 9 international
spots to 7, the other spot KC is losing is because it's expiring from the Adam Cristman trade with
DC.
Another week of former SKC Wizards updates. The MLS season is over, but there's been a lot of busy
stuff going on this week. Today the league announced the players entered into the Re-entry draft,
plenty of former players are available, including Adam, Cristman, Taylor Graham, Frankie Hejduk,
Jonathan Leathers, Rauwshan McKenzie, Kurt Morsink, Ryan Pore, and Scott Sealy.
The list for the Re-Entry Draft is out. Any interesting targets for United?
Ante Jazic: To old (36 before 2012 season starts) and too expensive ($115k
salary), but plays a position of need. This would be an extreme reach, even at a reduced salary in
Stage 2.
Bobby Boswell: Way too expensive ($210k salary) and we're probably set with
McDonald and Jakovic in the middle of defense, but .
Here's your former SKC Wizards update for this week. Lots of news, including 6 new former Wizards.
Jeferson, Scott Lorenz, Craig Rocastle, Seth Sinovic, Ryan Smith, and Milos Stojcev are all now
classified officially as former Wizards. Also in the news is the movement of Tyson Wahl, who was
traded from Seattle to Montreal for allocation money.
Does it make me a guy that after the game was over all I wanted to do was curl up and go to
sleep? Okay, I stayed for a little bit of cuddling and pillow talk, but when it was over I was
done.
In the last few posts I've talked about manifest destiny and how this was our time. But all
along the way I have been bracing myself for the possibility it might not happen.
Clubs can protect 11 players ahead of the 10-round draft for the Montreal Impact, which will
join MLS next year.
A team can only lose one player.
Wonder if Impact Coach Jesse Marsch will take a player from his most recent former club, Chivas
USA? Will he bring home Canadian Ante Jazic, a solid addition to any expansion team's backline?

CARSON, Calif. -- Make it three MLS championships for 60-year-old Bruce Arena, and no coach in
the has more since the inception of the league in 1996.
Just another feather in the cap for the 2011 MLS Coach of the Year, who appeared to letting it
all soak in as he sat down to speak with reporters after his Los Angeles Galaxy defeated the
Houston Dynamo 1-0 Sunday night for the MLS Cup.
The Los Angeles Galaxy beat the Houston Dynamo 1-0 to win the 2011 MLS Cup. In a match touted as
David Beckham's final MLS match, neither side made a terribly compelling case for a title match
victory during a mostly dull 90 minutes, the hyperbolic ESPN commentary notwithstanding. In the end
the match was won on a single goal from Landon Donovan late in the second half, securing the final
result nearly everyone expected.

Robbie Keane is looking is to cap off one of the best weeks of his career with a championship.
Keane led Ireland qualify for their first appearance at the European Championships on Tuesday
with a convincing playoff victory over Estonia. Now, the Irish striker will look to cap off his
impressive week with an MLS Cup title when his Los Angeles Galaxy take on the Houston Dynamo on
Sunday.
The season ended weeks ago for most of us Sounders fans. It feels even longer since the league
scheduled the MLS Cup after the international break. However, the real end of the season is nigh as
the Los Angeles Galaxy take on the Houston Dynamo this weekend. I'm expecting an entertaining, if
decidedly one-sided match-up this weekend.
Looking back over the course of Bruce Arena's tenure with the LA Galaxy, it's hard to argue with
the stellar success of his teams. While many will argue that his achievements are tempered by the
fact that he was able to go out and buy new, multi-million dollar players as needed, it can be said
that he's done the opposite outside of his designated players.

CARSON, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Galaxy may boast a star-studded lineup, but it's who is not
going to be on the field that may prove the difference for the Galaxy come MLS Cup.
There it is. For 5 years we have been yearning for it. For 5 years David Beckham has been
reaching for it. This weekend, it is finally and definitively within our grasp. We have a very real
chance of taking home the MLS Cup. I don't know about you, but I'm excited.
The only really significant news I've heard in the lead up is the injury to Chad Barrett, which
will keep him out of the cup.
This week's former SKC Wizards is up for you. A couple former Wizards could be on the move. Sunil
Chhetri is apparently getting ready to go on trial with Scottish club Rangers. Chhetri's had trials
in England previously, but had been unable to earn a work permit. Not sure how that will change
this time.
It didn't take long for Adam Cristman to realize that he was in the midst of something special
this year.
Only weeks into his first season as a member of the Los Angeles Galaxy, the fifth-year striker
witnessed something he hadn't seen since his rookie year: the hallmarks of a team destined for
greatness.

CARSON, Calif. – A little more than a week until MLS Cup, the Los Angeles Galaxy's hopes of an
MLS Cup took a devastating blow.
Forward Chad Barrett will miss the MLS Cup Final after suffering a dislocated right ankle during
the club's training session on Thursday.
The MLS season is winding down. Here's this week's former SKC Wizards update.

Stephane Auvray - New York - Dressed but did not play in New York's 1-0 loss to LA.
If the New York Red Bulls manage to go on a run to MLS Cup, Designated Player Rafa Marquez won't
be a part of it.
Major League Soccer suspended Marquez two additional games on top of his one-game suspension for
a red card and fined him an additional $2,000 for his part in the postgame scuffle between the Red
Bulls and Los Angeles Galaxy in the first leg of their Western Conference semifinal on Sunday.
Tempers flared as the Los Angeles Galaxy beat the New York Red Bulls 1-0 at Red Bull Arena, in
their Western Conference semi-final first leg match.
Mike Magee's early goal off a cross from David Beckham was enough to give the Galaxy the win,
and they only need a draw at home on Thursday to progress to the Conference Finals.
The chants of "Red Bull Reject" rang out in Red Bull Arena, but the player they were aimed at
didn't hear them.
No, Mike Magee was too focused on the task at hand, helping the No. 1 seed Los Angeles Galaxy
post an opening playoff win against the New York Red Bulls, which just so happened to be Magee's
former team.

At first if you don't succeed, try, and try again.
Los Angeles Galaxy forward Chad Barrett must have been uttering those words at halftime of LA's
Superclasico matchup against Chivas USA. The Galaxy forward had numerous chances in the first half,
but it wasn't until the 53rd minute when Barrett finally broke through, as his header off an Adam
Cristman cross finally found the back of the net, and that strike was all Los Angeles needed to
hold off Chivas USA on Sunday evening at the Home Depot Center.

CARSON, Calif. --Chad Barrett scored his seventh goal of the season as the Los Angeles Galaxy
defeated Chivas USA in the SuperClasico in front of 27,000 at the Home Depot Center.
Barrett broke through in the 53rd minute of play when he headed in a cross from Adam Cristman
into an empty net.
