Sporting Kansas City are back in action tomorrow against San Jose in their final league match for
two weeks due to the upcoming international break. Before they reach the break, they'll look to end
their 4 game winless streak back at home. For the 4th time during their winless streak, KC is
taking on a team that is coming in on shorter rest than KC.
Our finest moment in DC
After what felt like a extremely long 10 days off Colorado is back in action tomorrow night in DC.
The center of power hasn't been kind to the Rapids historically, with last year producing only our
3rd ever win in the District. This season a beat up burgundy side makes the trip with 4 major
starters unlikely to start.
Sporting KC is back in action tomorrow in Chicago when they'll take on the Chicago Fire at Toyota
Park in Bridgeview, IL. Traveling there with Sporting are close to 500 traveling supporters,
probably the largest traveling support for Kansas City for any game, save maybe MLS Cup 2004. Sadly
I couldn't make the trip this year, but it'll be great to see the crowd that turns up to support
Sporting tomorrow.
Last week's victory was a huge feet of mental strength for the Portland Timbers as it showed
that not only could they get over their losing streak, but also that they could beat the league
leaders while recording their first shut out of the 2012 season. Suffice it to say there was a lot
to be happy about especially heading off on a road game against one of the current worst teams in
the league.
Yesterday morning it was suggested that tomorrow night's fixture against Stoke could be in doubt
following the events surround Fabrice Muamba on Saturday. However, the club were quick to confirm
that the game will go ahead and Harry Redknapp stressed a feeling that the players needed to get
back to football for now.
Barring any changes, Boyd will see his first action tomorrow vs AIK. He's still getting into
game fitness but will be good to see him #rctid

SPANISH FOOTBALL tonight with four matches scheduled as part of Round 25 of the SPANISH LEAGUE. The
big Clubs come into action tomorrow, but that participating Clubs tonight gave us the usually
high level of Football we are used to. Racing - Sporting RACING DE SANTANDER & REAL SPORTING DE
GIJON are both in the relegation zone & are fighting to stay alive in the Spanish 1º st Division.

Back in league action tomorrow as we square off against mighty Blackburn (hey, lately, any team
playing against us looks pretty mighty).
Manchester United
Position 2nd, 15-3-3 (48 points, +32 goal differential)
Away Record: 7-2-1, +13 goal differential
Recent Form: WWLLW
Last Meeting: I don't think there was a last meeting, was there?
Swansea

Last Meeting: Arsenal 1 Swansea 0 (September 10, 2011)
Back in action tomorrow in a "European" tie as we travel all the way to Wales to take on
Swansea.
I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year celebration. It seems odd to be writing a preview
one day after a recap, but so it goes. Our boys are back in action tomorrow, taking on Fulham at
Craven Cottage. Our opponents aren't having the best of seasons, currently sitting in 13th place
with 20 points, and a -5 goal differential (which is also the same record as 14th place
Swansea).
On Saturday, the Revolution U-18s continued their winning ways, but the U-16s suffered their
first loss of the season as the squads faced Charlotte Soccer Academy in the Revs' first matches
of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase, which is being held at Premier Sports
Complex in Sarasota, Fla.
FALL RIVER, Mass. The Revolution Youth Academy kept the Met Oval squads scoreless on Saturday
afternoon by claiming 2-0 (U-18s) and 3-0 (U-16s) wins at Durfee High School on a blustery
Saturday afternoon.
For the 18s, it was a game that saw them dominate on the possession scale in the first half, but
nothing to show for it, as scoreboard flashed a 0-0 scoreline at the half.
A quick turnaround for the Rapids as they are back in action tomorrow. The first leg of the
conference semi-finals sees the SporKC's coming back to town. It will be the final home game of the
season, no matter what happens, so let's go out with a bang. The tailgate starts at 2:30 with
kickoff at 5:30.
Boro are presently in 7th position of the NCEL Premier division, all the 6 teams above us are in
action tomorrow .Top placed side Retford are at home to Arnold Town and I would expect them to
extend their lead at the top of the table by taking all 3 points from this game.
Our landlords Bridlington Town are in 2nd place and have a fairly difficult trip to Long Eaton
Utd, I can see this game ending in a draw, 3rd placed Stavely, who I found very disappointing after
watching them sneak 3 points at Pickering Town last week travel to 5th placed Parkgate to take part
in what will probably be a dour game with not many goals and very little in the form of
entertainment, could be another draw.
After negotiations failed in August over a potential transfer, Genk gaffer Mario Been has
re-ignited the flame, suggesting a move to London is still possible, provided the fee is right.
More, after the jump:
On the Move?
Earlier this morning, reports and quotes attributed to AVB surfaced which included his outright
praise for De Bruyne, who he labeled as an 'interesting' player with the versatility to play wide
on the left, or more centrally.
After the long break for international friendlies, the Portland Timbers will be back in action
tomorrow at home against the Houston Dynamo. The Timbers last game at Jeld-Wen will kick off a run
of three games in eight days to close out the team's first season in Major League Soccer.
The Race For The Final Playoff Berths
The Timbers, New York Red Bulls, Houston Dynamo and D.
A Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick helped Real Madrid get their La Liga campaign off to a perfect
start with a commanding 6-0 victory over Real Zaragoza on Sunday as they look to claw the league
title back from Barcelona.
Real coach Jose Mourinho warned that the opening weekend of fixtures often spring surprises, but
the game went according to plan for the Spanish giants and will serve as a statement of intent for
Barça who are in action tomorrow at Villarreal.
Stop it. Stop all these good news stories when we're supposed to be wrestling with self loathing
over our footballing inadequacy.
But when the Homeless World Cup final kicks off in Paris tomorrow, Scotland will be there.
Their lunchtime quarter final against Ukraine was an 11 goal thriller.

Good afternoon! It's a glorious Friday here in RBNY Land. Our team is back in League action
tomorrow, @Rio Tinto Stadium, and it's must win time. That's right! The Red Bulls must start to
pick up full points or face the prospect of missing out on the playoffs altogether.
Good evening! After a couple of tough away games, in the Pacific Northwest, our team is back in MLS
action tomorrow afternoon @Chicago. In the meantime, let's examine some of the RBNY news of the
past week.
Once again, the week started of with a bang, with Red Bulls GM Erik Soler making a statement
blasting the awful refs at the Porland/RBNY match.

Bet Now: Latest Live odds United v EvertonManchester United are back in action tomorrow when
Everton are the visitors to Old Trafford. The Premier League leaders were poor after the opening 35
minutes of last weekend's FA Cup defeat against "noisy neighbours" Manchester City. On Tuesday
United could only manage a draw away at Newcastle; the overall performance was very poor and the

Arsenal back from internationals and back in league action tomorrow against Stoke City, in a
match that was originally scheduled for December but got snowed out.
Back in action tomorrow as we travel across town to play against League One side Leyton Orient.
It really has the feel of a classic FA Cup match local derby, playing at a lower division side on a
great run of form, in a small stadium (Brisbane Road seats less than 10,000).
Arsenal are obviously coming off a great win in the Champions League, and will be looking to
keep our designation as the only team still alive in all 4 major competitions, and the seemingly
impossible dream of 3 cup finals at Wembley alive.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Position: 19th, 7-3-15 (24 points, -17 goal differential)

Arsenal back from internationals and back in league action tomorrow against Wolves.
Back in league action tomorrow with a trip to the northeast, which for whatever reason is an
area where Arsenal have always struggled.
Our last such trip came in a game that still sort of haunts me when we played Sunderland so
early in the season. Cesc scored that freak goal on a deflected clearance from midfield (and
injured himself in the process) to put us up 1-0, even though we were badly outplayed.

Arsenal back in action tomorrow as we take on Leeds in 4th Round FA Cup action.
Yep. I'm still alive. The blog did go a little dormant this week, so apologies for that, but I
had one of THOSE weeks at work. Where work was Diaby's foot, and I was John Terry's face. But I
managed to get through it without getting fired (yet) or having a nervous breakdown (yet), so I
guess it's all okay.

Back in league action tomorrow, against a side which may be becoming one of our bogey teams.
With just one win on their travels this season in the league so far and having lost eight games it
is surely too much to hope for that Wolves will come away with anything at all from their trip to
Eastlands today. So Manchester City, will barring some sort of minor miracle be lording it over the
rest of the division come five o'clock tonight.
