Didier Drogba had initially kept matters serious when asked about Bayern Munich manager Jupp
Heynckes' accusations of him as a player who 'acts' too much on the pitch. However, the departing
Chelsea striker has now comically turned the tables such that the joke is on Heynckes.
It was widely assumed across the English media that Heynckes' comments ahead of the UEFA
Champions League final between the two sides were intended to derail Drogba's focus.
Liverpool put the hurt of Saturday's FA Cup final defeat behind them with their biggest league win
of the season which ended Chelsea's hopes of a top-four finish.
Kenny Dalglish's side was as energetic and irresistible in the first half as they had been
lethargic and wasteful for an hour at Wembley.
It's an accusation that has been levelled at Spurs over many years and once again it's been
brought into the spotlight again in recent weeks. Are we here to entertain or to win matches? Are
the two factors necessarily mutually exclusive?
Dutch international Rafael van der Vaart states he feels under pressure to entertain when he pulls
on a Spurs shirt but he also claims that he thrives under such circumstances.
After Barca's unexpected 0-0 draw against AC Milan at the San Siro last night, a few strange
allegations have taken place. The first one that Alexis wasn't granted a penalty
when Abbiati knocked him out in the 15th minute because referee Jonas
Eriksson was a Swede and a friend of Zlatan
Ibrahimovic's.
It's almost come as shock to some people that Arsenal are kicking into gear and are starting to fly
like R. Kelly believes he can.
It doesn't surprise me though. Not at all. There is too much quality in the squad for us not to
be.
Of course, this current group of players is arguably one of Arsene Wenger's weakest since he joined
the club but that just shows the strength of the previous teams he has had.
There is a temptation to level what might seem a fair criticism at Manchester United and their
generally underwhelming performances this season but, in truth, the isolated idea that the side is
too complacent in winning positions or in situations where they are expected to coast is a touch
unfair and, simply put, a bit lazy.
Carlos Tevez's patched up relation with Manchester City is in tatters again after it emerged that
Roberto Mancini had only allowed him back to the club in order to enter him at Crufts. The
Argentine's inflammatory accusation that Roberto Mancini treated him "like a dog" took a new twist
today as it emerged that the [.
Ahead of the it being confirmed that Luis Suarez had racially abused Patrice Evra, Kenny
Dalglish claimed that the guilty party should be punished. That would mean if Evra couldn't prove
he was innocent, he should be punished for making the accusation.
Liverpool players then warmed up in t-shirts in support of Suarez and once Suarez was found
guilty, showed no remorse.
Following Luis Suarez's eight match ban for being found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra,
Liverpool FC refused to accept that their striker or club had done anything wrong.
Despite refusing to apologise to Evra, reports in the press claimed that Liverpool wanted to
engage in "peace talks" with United.

affair
• Liverpool keen on talks before 11 February fixture • Uruguayan could return after ban at
Old Trafford Liverpool officials are to request top-level talks with their Manchester United
counterparts, in an attempt to defuse tensions before the two clubs meet at Old Trafford on 11

Suarez sorry but reiterates he used the word once
LUIS SUÁREZ has issued another statement following on from his decision not to appeal the
eight-match ban issued by an independent commission after it found an FA charge against him proven.
In this latest statement he says he apologises if his use of a certain Spanish word offended
anyone.
Why Liverpool have stopped fighting the Suarez verdict but not the way it was
reached
It is the most controversial case ever to come before the FA, and certainly one with more
mud-slinging than any in modern football history. But on Wednesday, after months of accusation and
counter-accusation, of claims of conspiracy and contempt, Liverpool finally offered a hint of a
conciliatory tone amid the outrage of the racism row that has reverberated around the world.

It is our strongly held conviction that the FA and the panel it selected constructed a highly
subjective case against Luis Suarez based on an accusation that was ultimately unsubstantiated.

Liverpool angrily decide not to appeal Suarez ban
Liverpool FC will not be appealing the 8-match ban imposed on Luis Suarez. Their announcement of
this decision included further criticism of the FA and its panel but the club said it was for the
best that they did not appeal.
Liverpool Football Club have released yet another incredible statement in response to the Luis
Suarez racism case. After being found guilty of the charge of using an offensive word relating to
Evra's skin colour, "negro", the club have responded very negatively, despite Suarez and all his
witnesses admitting he used this word.

Smoldering kindle around a possible sale of the New York Red Bulls' Tim Ream to Bolton.
Wandering?
While nothing is confirmed and Ream's wedding to a US bride, not to a new team has been cited as
the reason he is not in Jurgen Klinsmann's January Camp, the move would seem to make a lot of sense
and offers the opportunity to investigate a few things around both the teams and leagues:
• First, it would seem the Red Bulls are selling at a valley in Ream's value.

Once again, the giant globe-spanning Illuminati conspiracy established to keep Liverpool from
'having their year' has come into effect and has demanded that the FA ban the club's most effective
player this season for the next eight games and fined a week's wages just for openly and admittedly
calling a black man a 'negro' a few times during a game of football.
