There's been some recent buzz around the Houston Dynamo, and it's not all centered around the
brand spankin' shiny new toy, BBVA Compass Stadium. As we continue to count down the final week
until the first Houston Dynamo home match on their pretty new pitch inside their absolutely
gorgeous new stadium, an announcement was made which has polarized certain entities and united
others.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has accepted the harsh criticism that has been unleashed at him
ever since Monday's 2-1 defeat at home to Wigan but remains committed to bouncing back from the
setback against the Latics.
Ramsey entered Monday evening's match as an early substitute for Mikel Arteta and with the
Gunners falling two goals behind within the opening eight minutes, there was heavy pressure on the
Welshman to deliver against a relegation-threatened opposition.
Arsenal's summer of accountability by Richard Hall As Arsenal's season continues to fall apart in
front of them, it is without blame that their fans look towards the summer, where perhaps new blood
can be purchased in to signal a new dawn. Arsene Wenger is almost guaranteed to keep his job,
amidst what seems to [.
With all the excitement of releasing your second album but with the concern you might have been
a one hit wonder, we kicked off our second #SoccerSpeakUSA Twitter Chat. With some improvements
to the overall flow of the chat, feedback from users suggest that we are on the right track to
create an avenue for simple, fun and constructive dialogue, linking the grassroots and equipping

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has refused to let the increasing pressure on his team get to his
head, insisting that there is reason to stay optimistic despite a heart-breaking 2-1 defeat against
Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League.
The Blues took the lead at BayArena through a fine Didier Drogba strike at the beginning of the
second half but failed to hold on to it as substitute Erin Derdiyok punished them with a header
before Manuel Friedrich delivered a last-minute knock-out punch.

Those who frequent TSG know we pride ourselves on accountability and the axiom, "you can't look
at a single observation, you have to look at the entire body of work."
On the former, witness Defense Exhibit A below. We probably should have doctored up
some of the predictions (Kenny Cooper for Comeback Player of the Year or Eric Alexander for
Breakout Player), but we didn't.
hmmm...
I don't know if real accountability for player development is possible.
What are the metrics?
- Is it how many players you place in college?
- Is it the number that get called to youth national teams?
- Is it the number of professionals you've touched while they were amateur?
This blog is at heart about my love affair with soccer, an affair that is unwavering after five or
six years. From very early on I became aware of the corruption that has been in our game and that
is in our game at a high level. I was more properly informed about it after reading Andrew
Jennings' book, Foul!
Jason Kreis reacts to horrific injury
Kreis had not yet seen the replay (but had heard a lot about it) when he made this
statement:
"I would like to see the players take some accountability within themselves," he said. "I
know it's done over in England where the players union will have sanctions and look very, very
harshly among themselves, because they've got to treat each other with the proper amount of respect
and the proper amount of professionalism.
Let's face it, the United States does not exactly produce Lionel Messi's on a regular basis, but
one thing we give the soccer world aplenty is quality goalkeeping. From Tim Howard to Marcus
Hahnemann to Brad Friedel to Kasey Keller (to name just a few), one thing the U.S. can do is
produce great netminders.
Commentary: Proactive Dynamo refreshing
Richard Justice discusses the refreshing nature of the Dynamo's practice reaction to their
season opening loss.
We wanted to send a message, our fans need to know we take winning seriously. There needs to be
accountability."
-Dynamo president Chris Canetti
Less than two weeks ago Mr. Garber you made the following comment, among others, concerning players
being held, clutched or dragged down by defenders inside the penalty box on set pieces.
"This is something that for me personally I really object to. I
recall during the World Cup something that in my view there's way too much holding and pushing in
the penalty area on set pieces.

Hassan Nazari is one of the top youth coaches in the United States, and leads the Dallas Texans
Soccer Club. Nazari spoke to Mike Woitalla for the Youth Soccer Insider's ongoing interview series

SA: What does your club look for when it hires coaches?
To no one's surprise, SAF has been charged by the FA for the comments he made about Atkinson at
Stamford Bridge.
Were his words harsh? Yes. But they weren't an inaccurate assessment of the ref's overall
performance.
The FA keeps holding managers accountable for their statements. When will we start seeing that
accountability demanded for refs and their performances?
Arsenal midfielder Denilson has been questioned all week about the manner in which he recently
challenged the leadership of teammate Cesc Fabregas. The youngster was quoted as telling the media
in his native Brazil that the Gunners' skipper was not the ideal leader for the club.
Although the player immediately reacted by clarifying matters with Fabregas the same day as
Arsenal traveled for an FA Cup fixture at Leeds, the situation remains a talking point.
