It's a good thing that this weekend is surrounded by two weeks of great matches coming from the
UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Copa Libertadores because this weekend's action is crap.

The conference tournaments are done and most teams have finished their seasons, but a select few
now move on to the NCAA Tournament to take a shot at a national title. The bracket was announced
this afternoon and it comes as no surprise that multiple Sounders Academy players will be on the
field when the tournament kicks off this week.

Here come the Tar Heels
Ben Speas scored twice and added an assist as North Carolina rolled to its third ACC title with
a 3-1 victory over Boston College.
The Tar Heels offense came from an unlikely source as Speas equaled his goal-scoring tally for
the season.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Brian Span (So., Somers, N.Y.) scored the golden goal with
20 seconds remaining in double overtime to propel the fourth-seeded Virginia men's soccer team to a
4-3 victory over fifth-seeded Wake Forest Tuesday night in the quarterfinals of the 2011 ACC
Tournament at Klöckner Stadium.
If Tuesday's quarterfinals were any indication of how the rest of the ACC Tournament is going to
play out, we are in for one wild tournament.
Defending champion Maryland saw its title defend end after one match as Boston College jumped
out to an early two-goal lead before holding off a fierce comeback to post a 2-1 upset victory on
Tuesday night.
The Virginia men's soccer team plays Boston College at 7 p.m. Saturday at Klöckner Stadium and
ESPN3 will be showing the game on a live webcast.
