Maritimo have opened Week 7 of the Superliga (Liga Sagres) with a big road win over Academica. Maritimo took it to the hosts early and Marchino scored at the 13th minute mark, then Baba's first of two made it 2-0 before the half. Sporting opened the Superliga season with a draw against Nacional in Madeira. Sporting trailed the game 1-0 when Aurelio put Nacional ahead in the 28th minute but then Aurelio scored again but this time in his own goal to give Sporting the draw in this season opening matchup.
