Footballers don't half have it hard (nudge, nudge). Kevin-Prince Boateng has had an
injury-blighted season in Serie A so far, making only 11 starts to date, and is currently a doubt
for AC Milan's Champions League tie with Arsenal next Tuesday after suffering a thigh strain last
week.
David Beckham has played for some of the most recognizable football clubs in the world,
including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Milan, and now the LA Galaxy.
He has also been managed by several of the sports' great managers: Sir Alex Ferguson with the
Red Devils, Carlos Queiroz with Real Madrid, and Fabio Capello with the England National team.
Liverpool's Summer 2012 Transfer Targets - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Domestically, Liverpool have had a strange season. Their league form has been nothing short of
terrible, however, their performances in the cups have been extremely impressive.
Next season Dalglish (providing he remains in charge) will no doubt look to improve the core of
the Liverpool team, allowing them to challenge for a top four position.
There are games where even a defeat feels like a win. Then there are those where victory can't
quite overcome the feeling of losing out. On a rare occasion though, one gets to experience both
these contradicting sentiments at the same time! Arsenal's heroic effort against Milan will surely
fall into that exceptional category.
We need more potency in the final third, that much was clearly on show on Monday against
Fulham.
We dominated and played some of the best football this season, but we could not finish....
second half we took off pace and just got straight out pummeled for 30 minutes.
Say what you want about the ref, red cards, penalties etc.
Thanks for coming Thierry So Thierry Henry is on his way back to Arsenal. Great (yawn). Maybe Henry
and David Beckham can share a row in first class on their way back to jolly ol' England.
Personally, makes me no never mind whether Henry returns to the Gunners. It's just the symptom of
bigger issues on both sides of the pond.

In the midst of the ongoing Moreno saga, a bit of "good news" came out of the Revolution camp
today as the club have announced the signing of French striker Saër Sène from Bayern Munich on a
free transfer. The player had recently been in camp with the Revolution in Arizona, and after
watching him both on and off the field, Revolution GM Michael Burns commented "We believe he'll
play a valuable role for us this season.
Per Mertesacker won't be involved in Wednesday's Champions League tie with AC Milan,...

UEFA Power Rankings 20 February 2012 - The 90th Minute Soccer Blog
Below are my weekly power rankings for the top (8) clubs teams in UEFA. These rankings are a
combination of their play in domestic and UEFA competitions.
Real Madrid continue to be in the top spot while there's little change in the rest of the power
rankings.
Standing in the middle of the street is never a good idea -- especially when you're a reporter
holding a microphone in the path of footballers trying to flee the training ground. One reporter
outside of Milan's Milanello complex apparently thought that not only standing in the middle of the
street, but sticking her microphone out to moving cars would be a great way to get an
interview.
Josep Guardiola is the very first coach ranked No 1.
An informed answer to the everlasting question 'who's the best football coach in the world?' is now
made available thanks to the newly launched Football Coach World Ranking® to be found at
www.coachworldranking.com
It's the world's first ranking of football coaches based on actual performance.
The life of a professional footballer can't be easy: they have to deal with pressure on the
pitch, constant media scrutiny, and the fear that their webcam masturbation videos could be made
public at any moment.
Milan striker Maxi Lopez appears to be the latest footballer to pull a Ronaldinho, as the
interwebs are awash with pictures that seem to depict the Argentinean putting on a clothes-less
webcam show.

Someone chundered (we've blurred it because, let's face it, no-one likes looking at sick) all
down the Arsenal substitute bench against Milan last night chief culprit being Tomas Ro-sicky,
though it may also have been Per Mertesicker or even Mik-hurl Arteta.

Two football matches, four teams, 22 players, five goals on the night, fourteen across the
fixtures.
Holy smokes! We can't believe we got that right on the first attempt!

Arsene Wenger has said that his team's recent run of good form is a result of their failures in
the 2010/11 season.
Arsenal were on the verge of ending their six-year long trophy drought at this time last season
when they faced Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final. But in a surprising turn of events, they
lost that match and their confidence took a serious hit.

Club adds David Vaudreuil to coaching staff,
places Zak Boggs on Disabled List
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution head coach Jay Heaps has added David Vaudreuil to his
staff as the club's reserve team coach.
Wesley Sneijder has more or less ruled himself out of a January transfer move after reports
linked him to a move to Manchester United.
The Dutch midfielder was close to a move to United in the summer and rumours suggest that Sir
Alex Ferguson isn't prepared to give him a second chance at joining the club.
Carlo Ancelotti joined PSG in December after being sacked by Chelsea. The Italian won the double
in his first season but failed to inspire The Blues as they finished without a trophy the following
season.
The 52-year-old admitted he was hoping to replace Arsene Wenger in north London.

The winter transfer window in Europe is set to close today, and teams are still scrambling to
fill vacancies and address needs for the second half of their respective seasons.
While we don't seem likely to have any megastars making winter transfer moves, despite resurgent
rumors of Carlos Tevez to AC Milan, there is still some serious talent changing addresses.

In which, an hour or so into Milan's slumber-inducing goalless draw with Napoli yesterday,

shoulder in order to expertly disguise an elaborate 'round the houses' slap to Salvatore Aronica's
face.

On Saturday morning, I saw the list of potential managers for the England National Team now that
it finds itself without a coach. The Euro 2012 is not too far away now, and the eyes of the world
are on England, waiting to see who will take the helm amidst the international controversy. I
couldn't help but wonder that Arsene's name was on the list, so I had to do a bit of digging to
determine the probability of his being selected for the coveted job.
Good news for Coach Allegri and Milan fans as Alessandro Nesta, Kevin Prince Boateng and Alexa
Pato all resumed training today ahead of their Champions League first leg knockout match against
Arsenal on Wednesday.
With both teams coming off late winners in their weekend league fixtures, it will be interesting
to see how they both approach the game.
There isn't much to analyze in such a game. Or you could say there is so much to analyze that
one could write a book.
This wasn't a great Milan side but it was tactically and technically far superior to Arsenal. It
isn't often that one sees a game where the opponent deserves a 4-0 win over Arsenal but in this one
there could be few grudges, even if one of the goals was off-side (which I am not sure of
anyway).
Milan was the venue for Arsenal's travelling support as they went to Italy to cheer the boys on
against a genuine European giant in AC Milan. Unfortunately, some of the travelling hoard managed
to take things a little too far, and there were nasty scenes before the game between fans and
police, after which one Arsenal fan was arrested.

Your mission Arsenal, should you choose to accept it, is to beat AC Milan by five clear

On the face of it as tough a task as swimming the English Channel with a piano on your back.
No chance! Scream the pundits. Even the hardiest and most optimistic of Arsenal supporters have
their secret doubts.

-Tonight the the CONCACAF Champions League knockout phase starts for MLS teams. At 7pmCST, Toronto
will be facing LA Galaxy. This is sure to be a stellar match to watch. 43,500 tickets have been
sold making it, by far and away, Toronto FC's largest home crowd ever. The 2012 Red's should be
much improved over last year.
By 1970's Gooner There were many positive signs that emerged from last night's encounter with
Milan. Firstly the Ox gave a performance that was absolutely fantastic. For an 18 year old to have
performed at such a high level of quality means that he along with Wilshere, Szczeny, Walcott and
Song contain Arsenal's hopes for a very bright future indeed.
Germany international striker Lukas Podolski is reported to be on the verge of signing for
Arsenal in a move that would cost the Gunners approximately £10.9m.
The 26-year old Podolski has been outspoken about his displeasure at current club FC Cologne,
who are only three points above the relegation zone in the Bundesliga and have allegedly failed to
deliver on their promises of building a competitive squad.
