In which Milan's wily old centre-half Alessandro Nesta shows the world just how you dispossess
Lionel Messi with a nigh-on perfect, clean-as-a-whistle sliding tackle...
A nigh-on perfect, clean-as-a-whistle sliding tackle that wee Leo is obviously not overly
accustomed to.
Are all of AC Milan's WAGs as unattainably beautiful as these two? Spotted in the stands at AC
Milan's game against Udinese was Filippo Inzaghi's prettier half (at left) as well as Alberto

Liverpool misfit Alberto Aquilani has quickly settled into life at AC Milan and scored his first
goal for the club in the 3-1 loss to Napoli at the weekend.
The midfielder has once again been sent out on loan by Liverpool and is hopeful that come the end
of the season he will be able to make his move permanent.
The Time Is Napoli! Italy's two premier sides went head to head in the peninsula's showcase match
of Week 2. Both the Partenepoi and Rossoneri earned respectable draws against hotly fancied
opposition in Manchester City and Barcelona respectively midweek, were coming into the Sao Paolo
clash with injury concerns.

That's right, they're shamelessly shilling for Nivea!

This video is something you don't see every day. And it's probably something you'll never see
another team do. It features the footballers from AC Milan taking to the pitch at the San Siro for
a pre-match warm-up session wearing fake massive beards!
The players and staff run around the pitch with the beards in tow, some of them slugging the
beards over their shoulders as they get in the way.

All blogs and football clip sites were broadcasting what it might be the furthest header goal we
ever watched from Norwegian league, which was scored from around 55 meters.
Un but de la tête... du milieu de terrain !
by evidenceprodThis amazing goal brings to everyone memory Palermo famous goal in 2009 with Boca Juniors from
around 40 meters, I think Palermo header was a more powerful and a difficult one.

It's Champions League group stage time from now until the beginning of December Europe's elite
clubs will be going up against each other trying to reach the knockout stages and of course the
money that playing in the later stages brings.

There aren't many bigger clubs than Barcelona and AC Milan, so it's quite a pleasant surprise to
have them meeting on Matchday 1. Unless there are some serious surprises over the next couple
months, they should finish 1-2 in their group it's hard to imagine either of slipping behind Zenit
St. Petersburg or Cyprusians APOEL FC (see our run through today's fixtures for a full account of
what APOEL is an acronym for) so their two matches should be crucial, determining who finishes atop
the group and gets the better seed going into the knockout stage (which doesn't start until five
months from now, in Februrary).
David Villa gives Barcelona a 2-1 lead with a wonderful 35 yard free-kick
against Champions League rivals Ac Milan.
AC Milan secured a gutsy 2-2 draw against Barcelona thanks to goals in the first and final
seconds of an absorbing match at the Nou Camp.
Pato gave the visitors a dream start when he notched the quickest matchday one goal in Champions
League history, only for Pedro Rodríguez and David Villa to reply either side of half-time.

Just going to leave these here highlights of the game that nearly ruptured Tiziano Crudeli's
ventricles; a game that saw Pato score the fifth fastest Champions League goal on record, Lionel
Messi notch a barn-storming assist for Pedro's equaliser and a stunning 25-yard free-kick from
David Villa among other things.
AVB was quick during pre season to have his say on Fernando Torres and what he believed at the time
was a media obsession with the Spaniard. It seems that after just five games into the season the
obsession with Torres has started again and yesterday Fernando Torres was linked with a move to AC
Milan as part of a swap deal.
Serie A Weekly welcomes guest writer Anthony Lopopolo to our pages with a view to the Saturday
showcase match between Internazionale and AS Roma at the San Siro in Milan. Left reeling from an
embarrassing week of losses in both Serie A and the Champions League, Inter will try to gather
their first points of the season against Roma at San Siro.
After last night's draw with Udinese, Milan remain winless after three rounds played which makes it
official: this is the club's worst start to a season since 1997. Back then, the Rossoneri failed to
beat Piacenza in their opening game, only managing a draw. Then against Lazio they were denied by a
late Giuseppe Signori [.
Liverpool is considering a move for attacking midfielder Marek Hamsik, according to reports.
The Slovakian international has been earning rave reviews for Napoli and is currently being watched
by Liverpool scouts.
Reports suggest the Reds are considering a move for Hamsik this January after watching the 24-year
old help Napoli earn a draw against Manchester City last week.
Carlo Ancelotti has been pinpointed as a potential replacement for underfire Arsenal boss Arsene
Wenger. According to The Sweeper, the North London club are closely monitoring Ancelotti's
situation and are weighing up a possible deal which will bring the Italian to the Emirates Stadium
as early as January 2012.
While Del Piero tries to stare you down for giving him evils about being on the
Juventus bench, let us take you through some Serie A highlights from the
weekend!
- AS Roma defeated Parma 1-0 with the sole goal coming from Osvaldo.
After a summer of transfer rumors about where will Carlos Tevez be playing this season, nobody
was willing to pay City's price for their former captain, and it appeared that Tevez was happy to
be returning to Manchester.
But in Munich tonight, the Carlos Tevez's relationship with Manchester City hit a low point as
Tevez refused to go into the game as a second half substitute.
Juan Mata has made a nice impression since joining Chelsea this past summer, but if he is to
influence the Blues' next match, he'll do so at the expense of his former employer.
Mata and Chelsea take on his former club, Valencia, at Estadio Mestalla in one of Wednesday's
high-profile UEFA Champions League group matches.

a more gentle, mentoring role at AC Milan?

The Italian manager left "Super Mario" in the bench in the first three appearences of
Mancehester City in Premier League and during the summer the forward complained about the city of
Manchester, saying that he would prefer to go back to Italy.

Manchester City blatantly exposed a defensively week Tottenham midfield on Sunday, raising
questions over the choice of Niko Kranjcar partnering want-away Luka Modric in the middle of the
field.
After City took the lead through the impressive Bosnian front-man Edin Dzeko, it soon became
clear that the absence of a strong, hard working defensive midfielder was costing Spurs dearly.

dizzying heights of the Champions League and back again? Are those halcyon nights in Milan and

It was a frenetic day at the ATA Executive Hotel in Milan on Wednesday as clubs from Italy's
top-flight desperately tried to put the finishing touches to their squads for the season ahead.
After a flurry of last minute activity, sporting directors across the peninsula can now head for
some late summer sunshine before preparing for January when the window will re-open for business.
By David Chalmers, writing from Clackmannanshire, Scotland
With the hype surrounding ‘Deadline Day' dying down, I thought I'd draw up a list of the
smartest transfer deals ever made. Though subjective, this is based mostly on players that cost
very little money who turned into major stars for their club.
Crouch's joke answer to how many goals he'd score that season was scarily accurateSometime around
9.20pm on May 5th 2010, Younes Kaboul's fierce cross-cum-shot was palmed out and the rebound was
nodded in by Peter Crouch. Spurs went 1-0 up against Man City in a winner-takes-all showdown for
4th place and Champions League football.
Chelsea's young striker, Romelu Lukaku have to hold down his dream in playing in the Champions
League for the Blues at least for the group stage as the new signing was omitted by his club from
the 22 players list for the competition.
Lukaku's omission comes what of a surprise considering his steep price tag, but apparently isn't
avoidable as the UEFA rules simply didn't give an advantage for the Belgium international and it
seems that Andre Villas-Boas opted to drop the 18-years-old.
