Office holiday parties. Going to any, Kickettes?
Since we already go out drinking together two to three times a week at least it's safe to say
we'll probably be throwing ourselves a bash of some kind soon. Even if it's just the half dozen
of us drunkenly shouting for the corner kebab stand to open up at 2 a.

There's only one piece of soccer news that really matters to American soccer fans today, and no,
Eli, it's not that Philadelphia Union signed a deal with Rosenberg's Peanut Chews, which apparently
are a source of some great conflict among the PSP staff.
Yep, it's Landon Donovan going to Everton.
When people use the word 'saga', it's usually in relation to a beloved film franchise or some
centuries old epic tale, however this saga doesn't take place in a galaxy far far away or in the
pages of history, it all started when a world class footballer decided to swap the red half of
Manchester for the blue.

With the January transfer window opening up in just a few days, we look ahead at some of the
players most likely to be changing clubs in the January sales.
1. Carlos Tevez, Man City. Hopefully Tevez will finally leave and join AC Milan, with the
transfer saga dragging on for a long time already.
This week's round of Serie A games wasn't exactly full of outstanding team performances. Napoli
scored four but still managed to concede twice to relegation-threatened Lecce, Juventus and Milan
recorded routine victories against struggling opposition and Bologna took three valuable points
from Siena.
Last sixteen of the UEFA Champions League? Say word.
I reckon that's a Luis Suarez (a couple middle fingers) to all our detractors. Tell me you don't
agree. But, now that we've booked our place in the knockout stages of the competition, we need to
look ahead to our possible opposition in the opening round.

There are reports that Newcastle have joined Liverpool in taking an interest in AC Milan
defender Taye Taiwo. Taye Taiwo - AC MIlan left back Taiwo was at Marseilles from 2005, after
joining them from Nigerian Premier League side, Lobi Stars. He finally played 251 times with 23
goals for the French club, and of course he was in [.
Santos Laguna and Tigres enter today's Mexican Apertura Final second leg with championship
aspirations and 90 minutes to try and lift a trophy.
Tigres posted a 1-0 victory in Torreon in the first leg, and will be favored to hold that lead
at home, but Santos Laguna does boast the firepower to reverse that scoreline.
Gazzetta dello Sport Milan assist for Juve The Rossoneri are stumped (2-0) by Bologna. Di Vaio and
Diamanti are goalscorers. Antonio Conte's team take on Roma in Rome at the stadio Olimpico tonight.
The Bianconeri could move four points ahead of their rivals. Luis Enrique hangs in the balance:
"Resignation?
Reported Liverpool target Lucas Biglia is being pursued by Arsenal, according to the agent of the
Anderlecht midfielder.
The 25-year-old Argentine is also on the radar of Fiorentina and AC Milan, with the former making a
concerted effort to seal a January deal for his signature.
Liverpool has been frequently linked with Biglia in recent months, and injury to Lucas Leiva has
led to renewed speculation that he could move to Anfield.

A photo of AC Milan's home shirt for the 2012-13 season has been leaked on the Internet.
Designed and manufactured by Adidas, the new AC Milan shirt is a retro design with the famous
black and red stripes as well as an old-fashioned collar. The collar looks closer to a old rugby
shirt than a soccer shirt, but I love it.
According to The Sun, Sours boss Harry Redknapp wants to unite Man City's wantaway striker with
on-loan City star Emmanuel Adebayor at White Hart Lane.
A source close to the talks is quoted as saying:
"People at Tottenham reckon a deal like this could be bigger than anything since they signed
Jurgen Klinsmann.

When the draw was made for the group stage back in August, there was mixed reaction from the
gooner faithful. Dortmund were deemed the strongest of the pot 4 teams and Otelul Galati perhaps
the weakest. No surprise when Arsenal got Dortmund and the mancs were drawn with Otelul.

Ah, the age of the smartphone: you can't even enjoy a bit of chanting at your rivals' expense
without it coming back to bite you. These Tottenham supporters were so delighted to be playing AC
Milan in the Champions League last season that they broke into a chant of "Are you watching,
Arsenal?". Their neighbours [.
He won't mind seeing a fit Wilshere
Let's start with the obvious shall we. The Champions League draw takes precedent and rightly so.
The biggest tournament in club football today and the 2nd round draw took place without any
Manchester clubs in it. For our efforts of finishing top of our group, we were rewarded with a date
against AC Milan.

AC Milan moved to the top of Serie A after a comfortable 2-0 win over Siena thanks to second half
goals by Antonio Nocerino and a penalty by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. After struggling to break through a
painfully defensive Siena backline in the opening 45 minutes, it was Milan midfielder Antonio
Nocerino who shot the hosts ahead [.

Things are looking worse and worse for Steve Kean as Blackburn manager as his club slumped to a
2-1 loss to Bolton on Tuesday, intensifying calls for him to be fired.
Blackburn is now rooted to the bottom of the English Premier League and is four points away from
safety having played a game more than its competitors.
Manchester City and AC Milan in Carlos Tevez talks, What the back pages say

In the last midweek action before the holiday break there was a plethora of goals in Serie A.
Napoli hit six past Genoa, Atalanta hit four against Cesena and Inter Milan also notched four this
time at home to Lecce. AC Milan ended the year as winter champions after Juventus were held 0-0
away at Udinese.
One of the more interesting rumors of the holiday season in Europe surrounds Thierry Henry's
potential return to Arsenal on a short-term loan in January. Nobody at Arsenal is publicly
admitting it is in the works (Arsene Wenger said he has yet decide whether to pursue it), and there
is no guarantee that the New York Red Bulls would be willing to let their star player go on a loan,
but the idea remains an intriguing one.
While the demotion of Manchester City and Manchester United from the UEFA Champions League to
the second-tier Europa League has been very well documented, the Premier League leaders have
company when it comes to failure in Europe this season.
The London pairing of Fulham and Tottenham did not even make the final 32 of Europa League and
with Championship outfit Birmingham out of contention as well, Stoke is the only other side
representing England in the competition.
So the far-fetched rumours are true, Thierry Henry will sensationally return to Arsenal as long
as everything runs smoothly, with the move being confirmed by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. All
that has to be finalised is an insurance package, incase Henry is to be injured during his return
to the Premier League.
Chelsea and Liverpool have been encouraged to bid £14million if they want to sign River Plate's
teenage sensation Lucas Ocampos.
Sportsmail revealed in October that Chelsea had made strong enquiries about the 6ft 2ins tall
17-year-old who has been dubbed the new Cristiano Ronaldo.
River initially insisted they would not sell until they had won promotion back to the Argentine top
division and claimed they had already rejected offers of £15m for Ocampos from Inter Milan.
Eduardo Vargas is just 22-years-old but he's already on his way to a possible South American
Footballer of the Year award.
That's created quite a bit of buzz for the Universidad de Chile winger, who could be scooped up
in January by AC Milan, Arsenal, Inter or Liverpool.
His agent Diego Cativa identifed those teams when talking to supervaso.
If someone asked you about Carlo Ancelotti and his managerial style you would think of his time
here in his first season winning the double, his time at AC Milan and the relationships he built
with "his players".
Renowned for getting the maximum out of ageing players, Ancelotti was always one to stand up for
the old guard and defend them to the hilt especially when he was here for two seasons.

Turning their attention away from silly little issues like racism, the international footballing
authorities have announced their 55-man shortlist for the FIFPRO World XI 2011. (FIFPRO is the
Federation Internationale des Associations de Footballers Professionnels, by the way)
Six players from good old Blighty have made the list, with Wayne Rooney and Gareth Bale worthy
of their places in the elite list.
AC Milan have agreed a deal with Catania to sign Maxi Lopez. The Milanese club are looking for a
new forward after Antonio Cassano underwent heart surgery earlier this month. Milan have been
heavily linked with the troublesome Carlos Tevez in recent weeks, with a loan deal their preferred
option. However, Manchester City want to recoup some of the £50 million they allegedly spent to
bring him to.
