"The world at large finds Chievo a far more palatable phenomenon than Hellas... If Chievo go up to
A & Hellas down to B... could this really be the beginning of the end for the Hellas community?"
Tim Parks, A Season With Verona In 1986 AC Chievo Verona asked permission to move from
Carlantonio Bottagisio essentially a local parish field to the Stadio.
For anyone to say Serie A is boring, needs to sit down and watch Internazionale vs. Siena.

AC Milan vs Chievo Milan sit 4th and Chievo sit one point behind in 5th in the Serie A table. Milan
have a mid-week Champions League match away to Real Madrid Tuesday which may catch the Rossoneri
looking ahead. If I recall correctly Chievo often put on a good performance at the San Siro and
are not intimidated as much as other clubs when playing there.
The result looks impressive and indeed some parts of Milan's performance against Chievo were
impressive. However, the result does not reflect the whole story. Milan gave far too much away
against Chievo that against better sides will not go unpunished. Fortunately there is enough class
in the current Milan squad, thanks to the additions of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho, that even
when not.
The Italian Football FanCast is the podcast for fans of Serie A and Calcio. On this weeks Italian
Football FanCast we delve deep into week seven's matches in Serie A. Both Dov and Kris were at the
Stadio Luigi Ferraris to watch Fiorentina take on Sampdoria. In what was a disappointing game, La
Viola were in the lead for the majority but two lates goals from Reto Zeigler and Antonio Cassano.
After the top teams gaining positive results last weekend, Serie A rolls around once more. There
are a number of big matches this weekend, with Napoli's clash with AC Milan on Monday the pick of
the bunch. Bologna - Juventus With only four points between the two sides, they are both in very
different form.
This weekend's fixtures in Serie A provide some interesting matches with the biggest game being
Juvenus' visit to the San Siro to play AC Milan. While Inter have a Friday evening game at the
Marassi against Genoa, and after a draw last week they will be hoping for a decent result to put
them above their city rivals, for 24 hours at least.
Bari – Milan The San Siro side go into the match at the San Nicola against Serie A's bottom team
in dire need of a victory to boost the players' confidence. The atmosphere won't have been helped
by Ibrahimovic and Onyewu having a training ground bust up. Much attention will also focus on Super
Pippo who surely deserves a start after his magnificent brace against Real Madrid.
Brescia Cagliari First up for new Cagliari coach are Brescia and it promises to be an enthralling
encounter between two sides that have plenty of attacking talent but seem unable to turn good
performances into three points. Brescia have only managed two points from the last eight matches
while Donadoni has had less than a week to implement his ideas on the team.
A week ago AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic picked up the Golden ball award as 'Best Swedish soccer
player 2010′ at the Swedish soccer awards gala in Malmo, Sweden. Make sure to check out the
featured video of Ibra on our homepage scoring with a classic Zlatan special kick. Here at
serieaweekly we thought it appropriate to say well done Ibra and.
Two matches have already been played in this weekends Serie A card. Milan travelled to the Marassi
to play Sampdoria and only managed to come away with a point after Giampaolo Pazzini cancelled out
a first half Robinho strike. Meanwhile, Juventus played host to Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico
and this also ended in a 1-1 draw with Simone Pepe rescuing a point for the Old Lady after Marco
Motta.
The Italian Football FanCast is the podcast for fans of Serie A and Calcio. On this edition of the
Italian Football FanCast, we look back at another dramatic week on the peninsula where Hernanes
struck a magnificent free-kick to help Lazio sink Inter, Zlatan Ibrahimovic bagged another as Milan
march on towards the Scudetto and did Palermo survive a San Paolo onslaught against Napoli?
Bologna Milan The home side have the best defensive record at home in Serie A and they come up
against a free scoring Rossoneri outfit with enough attacking talent to unlock the meanest of
defences. A midweek victory over Chievo has renewed confidence at the Renato Dall'Ara amid all the
off field uncertainty.
The winter break in Serie A is almost upon us but there is one more round of fixtures to go and
what an exciting round of matches we have in the peninsula this weekend. Bari – Palermo It is
weeks since the home side last recorded a victory and they sit two points adrift at the bottom of
Serie A, so three points going into the break will be a godsend.
