The Barca boys were in Abu Dhabi last week, (winning the FIFA World Club Cup), and our EXI
Keeper, Victor Valdes, opted to show just how versatile hotness can be. See: his sassy new DSquared
suit.
Not many men can rock a navy sweater-vest and maroon tie combo, you know. See: the hombre behind
him.

Ok, so it isn't just Bobojan Babe who is making up that sullen face for the
cameras. The Barca boys who must be exhausted have arrived in Abu Dhabi
to compete in the World Club Championships. La Liga's Christmas break has
officially commenced which means that Gonzalo Higuain has already started his
shopping for The Dona but unfortunately, all that will have to wait for the likes
of the Messiah.
Geri The Pout Piqué .... Quieres ser Sleeping Beauty?! This
just shows how tired everyone at the Barca camp is and although we think the World Club
Championship can be quite unnecessary at times, they're all paid millions so they'd better
work it!
Estudiantes de La Plata played the final of the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, and
despite leading for most of the match through a Mauro Boselli header, they found themselves taken
to extra time by another header this one from Pedro, who's made a bit of history himself. In the
extra [...]
The FIFA Club World Cup is about to take place in Abu Dhabi between 9th and 19th December. The
competition sees the champions of the six continental federations compete for the title and the
honour to wear the FIFA Club World Badge until the next Championship.
This will bring back memories of my visit in 2007 when U.
Preparations for this tournament were somewhat easier than my last visit two years ago. The FIFA
website allowed me to purchase tickets, saving me the problems I faced last time when I arrived
unsure of how to obtain them, they even said they would deliver the tickets to my home address
before the tournament started .
As you may be aware, Estudiantes de La Plata are playing in the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi very
soon (it started on Wednesday). As you may also be aware, they've got a bit of history in the
competition back when it was the Intercontinental Cup, and Seba Verón's dad played no small part

My route this time took me to Muscat, Oman and then to Dubai, where a flight of 22 minutes saw me
arrive back in Abu Dhabi at 13.40 on Matchday 1.
The first difference I noticed was that this time there was a bus available for passengers to get
to the city centre. So after numerous enquiries I was sent outside to search for the elusive bus
stop.
I mentioned earlier that I would try and find my way to any local games taking place, my quest
started the moment I arrived at my hotel where I asked for their help in checking the fixtures. I
believed there were two games taking place in Dubai, and that the following morning there would be
camel racing at 7a.
Whilst at Al Nasr, I found out about a football exhibition taking place in Abu Dhabi - "Footie." It
would be a get together of all corners of the football world, with competitions, freestyle shows,
auctions and....... lots more beside. What's more it would be the first even of its kind in the
Middle East.
inusual, inesperada y tan bienvenida lluvia.

Bangladesh (165º no ranking da FIFA) e a seleção do Paquistão (161º no ranking da FIFA).

30 minutos do primeiro tempo.
The U.A.E. Premier League is in only it's second season. As such it is a remarkable achievement
that they have managed to host the FIFA Club World Cup at a time when the hosts are guaranteed a
place for a team from their country. This is a major coup, which unfortunately this year they have
failed to capitalise on.
FC Barcelona would eying to capture their sixth trophy in a near perfect season. This is one
Championship which Barca hasn't won in its history. On the previous occassion we have lost in the
final - In 1992 when the cup was called Intercontinental Cup, Sao Paulo beat us 2-1 and in 2006 we
were done in by another Brazilian club, Internacional.
ATLANTE of Mexico has been defeated by Spanish & EuropeanChampions FC BARCELONA 1-3 in the "World
Clubs Championships"being held in Abu Dhabi. This win puts Barça directly into the SundayFinal were
they will be meeting "Estudiantes de La Plata" fromArgentina for the "Best Club In The World" title
for 2009.
According to ESPN Soccernet, Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka
would like to sign an extension with the club. Anelka said,
"I would love to sign for another three further years ... I still have one year left. I see
myself playing here until I'm 34.
All the stuff being covered outside the unfriendly confines of the award winning Dirty
Tackle...
(In David Attenborough voice) Watch as the Barcelona players prance around the Abu Dhabi surf in
their oddly bunched up shorts. Shhh! Or the Pique will splash you! [ONTD]
Seriously though.
Not that it's my forte to be listening to talkSPORT, but Stan Collymore (the man with more
questions than answers) has just announced that reports in Italy have confirmed that former Inter
boss and Leicester City player, Roberto Mancini, IS the new Manchester City manager.
I personally think this equals a tragic formula;
Rich Owners + Knowing Nothing About Football = Making All The Wrong Decisions
Why give a manager over £200 million if you're even thinking about sacking him if things don't go
down as you planned them?
It was a lot harder than many people expected, but Barcelona finally defeated Club Estudiantes
de La Plata 2-1 to win the FIFA Club World Cup final in Abu Dhabi.
With a minute to go in regulation time Barcelona were trailing 1-0, and it took super sub Pedro
Rodríguez to rescue Barca and send the game into overtime where the World's best plater Lionel
Messi scored the winner.
A nice look at the situation from David Conn today, in which, contrary to some opinion, the
decision to sack Hughes was very much made by the owners of the club, and not Garry Cook and/or
Brian Marwood:
The view began to harden that something did have to change. Hughes had the same first-team
coaching staff, including his former Welsh playing colleagues Mark Bowen, Eddie Niedzwiecki and
Glyn Hodges, who have worked alongside him since he started out in management with his national
team 10 years ago.
If anyone thought it was going to be easy, then you were wrong. It took Barcelona 120 minutes of
play to defeat Estudiantes La Plata for the FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi. As it has been for the
past few years, the 2 finalists were the Champions League winner (Europe) against the Copa
Libertadores winner (South America).
Not quite.Spanish media reported over the weekend that Manchester City's owner, Sheikh Mansour bin
Zayed Al Nahyan, is preparing an offer of 1 billion Euros to purchase Real Madrid. That's right, 1
BILLION!!!There is speculation that the offer might even exceed that amount. Mansour is a member of
the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi, and since they own pretty much all the oil in the world, he has the
