If Luis Figo has seriously been approached, things are a lot worse than I ever imagined. Bear in
mind I was imagining quite bad things when Jermaine Pennant's name was being mentioned without a
comedy effect chuckle in an I almost had you kind of way.
Figo looks like an old man and has been playing like one for the last couple of years.
At 2:45 today the Portuguese National Team (minus Cristiano Ronaldo) will square off against the
Bosnians to defend their 1 goal aggregate advantage over the boys from the shores of the Adriatic.
This is an interesting match because everyone on earth expects Portugal to be in the World Cup,
but I think the Bosnians have other ideas.
Ben Foster had a nightmare during the derby and sections of the press claimed he was going to be
dropped for our next Premiership game.
Ferguson rightly stuck by Foster though and the keeper picked up a clean sheet in our 2-0
victory over Stoke. Foster didn't have a lot to do but looked more composed and confident than the
weekend before.
Man United goalkeeper Ben Foster has thanked manager Sir Alex Ferguson for
having faith in him. Foster didn't have the best of games in the Manchester derby, he was then
rested in the Carling Cup last Wednesday but he was picked for the Stoke match last Saturday.
Foster didn't have much to do in the Stoke match but hopefully keeping a clean sheet will have
given Foster some much needed confidence.
