Quite a weekend:
Holden celebrates...
• Priceless. The face on Sam Allardyce...just priceless after Blackburn
equalized against Bolton, only for Holden to race on to a header, nudge it forward to his left foot
with his chest and volley it into the right corner pocket.
With Arsenal getting ready for tonight's now-or-never game against Partizan Belgrade, manager
Arsene Wenger is already looking forward to next week as he explained captain Cesc Fabregas and
midfielder Abou Diaby will most likely miss ...
Familiar scenes at DW
Not quite the result that Arsenal were looking for but hardly the same as last season's
shambles. Wigan gave their best and were rewarded as hesitant display from our defence afforded the
home side a reprieve with a draw. Arsene Wenger made 8 changes to the side that faced Chelsea, all
of which totally understandable given the 48 hours gap in between the 2 games.
Arsenal might have conceded the top spot to Shakhtar with that shocking loss to Braga but there
is the not so small matter of locking up second.
Which starts with today's match against Partizan. Braga have the same number of points but are
considerably behind on goal difference. They also meet Shakhtar away which compounds that
handicap.
Having tasted gloves before, Nasri will be looking give United a taste of his new found prowess
in front of goal
Finally the day has arrived. Finally we'll get to see our beloved Arsenal in action after 4 days
of not seeing them. Now that I think about it, that is not too long a wait but it is still a little
strange not to see them in action over the weekend.
Morning all,
the focus now moves away from Monday and onto Saturday's game against Stoke City RFC. Pubis and
his merry men, led by Lennie of course, will come and make life very difficult for us with their
long throws and their long throws and their long throws. And, to give them credit, they're good at
that.
White Arsenal
As the white snow descended layer upon layer on the Grove, Arsenal fans like myself have to live
up the fact that it will be another 8 days before we see our beloved team in action again. Referee
Lee Mason decided that the conditions did not allow for a football game to be played.
Quelling this pair is of the utmost importance.

We first tackled tactics for Spurs. Now I ask how you would line up against the Arsenal.
Allow me to offer the first suggestion.
We must initially determine Arsene's starting lineup. What do we know?
Yesterday's results mean tonight's game is one in which we really can't lose. There were no
surprises. United and City both won meaning United extend their lead at the top to five points
while City have taken our second place. Sp*rs beat an insipid Villa side which means they've closed
the gap on us to just two points.
It is the big day of Arsenal versus Chelsea and yet another opportunity for the Gunners to show
that they have no mental issues in approaching and winning big games. Cesc Fabregas, Abou Diaby and
Robin ...
