It seems to be a bi-weekly occurence this season that there is a report about Arsenal losing one or
two players to injury, either on the training ground or after a game, and this week seems to be no
different. The much-improved Abou Diaby is the main loss for the Cup game against Stoke City this

... we also need the kind of youthful exuberance and enthusiasm that was shown by Aaron Ramsey
following his equalizer at Upton Park. The 19-year old ran straight into the 500 traveling Arsenal
supporters followed by Carlos Vela to celebrate his superbly taken equalizer.
Slightly older players like van Persie and Eduardo enthusiastically celebrate goals but not like
Ramsey today or, for that matter, Cesc.
The Arsenal defensive midfielder Alexandre Song has now left for the African Nations Cup, and
Arsene Wenger has indicated that he will have to make some adjustments for the team to cope in his
absence. "We will miss him because he's an important player. In the system we play he plays in
front of the defence [.
Arsenal really do look like they are getting the gestalt. Last year, the line on them was that
they lacked the reinforced steel behind Cesc Fabregas in midfield. Mathieu Flamini shortsighted
decision to leave for AC Milan meant that, although a cliche for so long ,when it came to
describing them, the phrase 'a soft touch' was condign.

Boooooof!
Mini match report: The FA Cup represents by far the Gunners' best chance of winning
silverware this season, but they almost didn't make it past the plucky Irons who outplayed the
visitors for much of the game at Upton Park on Sunday. But late goals by Aaron Ramsey and Eduardo
earned Wenger's boys a fourth-round tie against Stoke City.

With the weather, the postponements, etc it's not worth sacrificing points to make changes this
week your transfers in may well not even play. Yes I'm looking at you -4 points Chris Baird... So,
we've only one selection for you today, but it's a good one...
And it is...
Abou Diaby has already played a pivotal role for Arsenal this season, pulling out a couple of
big performances and high scoring gameweeks.
Well, what can you say. With the midweek fixture frozen out, I was eagerly anticipating this game
to continue our wonderful momentum in the league. Bizzarely, except for Abou Diaby, no other
Arsenal player shared my sentiment. Even worse is that even though Chelsea did not get to play
today, they were the biggest benefactor [.
The first thing we should say about yesterday's game is that we very obviously played an Everton
team still smarting from the opening day pasting we gave them. That day they let down their
manager, they let down their fans and they let themselves down. From the first whistle it was
obvious they weren't going to let that happen as they pressed us all over the pitch and snapped
into tackles.
With Chelsea's eminently winnable match with Hull City canceled, along with six other Premier
League matches on Saturday, our match against Everton, in the driving snow, effectively, became our
infamous and long-awaited "game-in-hand." Yesterday's match was another reminder why teams with
games-in-hand should never just count them as three points.
Despite the managerial change, it was the same old trip to the Reebok on Sunday afternoon.
Bone-crunching tackles, frustration taken out physically, and slightly questionable sportsmanship,
yet Arsenal persevered and showed great character in a match that was much harder-fought than your
average 2-nil victory.
