It's official. France are out of the World Cup. Following a week and a half of controversy,
arguments and embarrassment, a defeat to South Africa this afternoon confirmed their bottom of the
group finish.
Patrice Evra, who had been chosen as the captain ahead of Thierry Henry, was dropped to the
bench for today's game, with the likes of Malouda and Abidal.
Barcelona are looking to overturn their 2 goal deficit when they host Inter Milan tomorrow night
in the return leg of their semi final Champions League fixture. The Catalans who are looking to

five point lead at the top. The scoreline might suggest an equal contest but in reality a rather
wasteful Barca side never managed the second goal they deserved. The 1-0 lead meant that the last

Malouda. It was a decision that made good sense to me because I like Diaby's game quite a
bit more than Malouda's, and I would argue that the decision paid off.
