We know MLS is trying to keep him but some clubs overseas want to have him pretty badly.
According to multiple reports out of England and Scotland, Premier League side Blackburn Rovers
is now in hot pursuit of Stuart Holden.
Of course that goes with Holden's other possible suiters in SPL clubs Aberdeen and Rangers.

After enjoying a dream year for club and country, Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden is
largely considered to be the next player in the U.S. pipeline to make the jump from MLS to Europe
during the upcoming winter transfer window. But that potential move seems to be in jeopardy after
MLS made an unexpected move.
Soccer by Ives correspondent Franco Panizo is reporting that MLS has offered our man Stuart a big
contract to keep him from moving to Europe, reportedly "ten times his current salary."

In another action-packed weekend of Scottish football, Aberdeen fail to capitalise on last week's
epic win against Rangers, Hamilton record a rare win but a tunnel fracas after their game with
Hearts will keep the SFA busy this week. And it's a sign that all is not well in Scottish football
when only 16 goals [.
There are more and more Americans playing abroad in the top European leagues. This winter
transfer window should see even more leave MLS to Europe. So who will leave and where were they go?
A few players have already confirmed their moves but others are yet to make a decision. Here's a
list of possible transfers of American players to Europe during this upcoming (2010) winter
transfer window.
There's a bit of a rum selection this weekend, with no games really sticking out of the fixture
list to give us just cause to get out of the Xmas shopping crusade up the town. But aye well, never
mind you've got to work with what you're given, so here we go. In this weeks [...]
A week that began with the rumble in the tunnel at Hamilton ended with the rumble in newspapers
over the terrible referees that blight the Scottish game. About which more, I'm sure, later.Anyway
this week's SPL fixture list looks a little like this:Aberdeen v HamiltonThat Hamilton actually won
their game against Hearts last week has been somewhat overshadowed by the events that followed in

The always excellent Scottish Football Blog has started a series of articles looking back at the
last decade in the game north of the border. They begin the series with a look back at our club's
performances in European competition which, despite what the sassenachs might think, is not as bad
as all that (as long [.
Under the freedom of information act, my friend requested these figures from Lothian and Borders
police:
The following costs were billed to Hibernian Football Club for the following
fixtures:
Celtic 30/8 £6,407.80
Kilmarnock 17/10 £2,718.60
Aberdeen 31/10 £4,899.
Walter Smith insists the title race is still wide open, but the last seven days appear to have
cleared the way for another Old Firm assault on the Scottish Premier League.
Dundee United and Hibernian have been giving the Glasgow two a run for their money this season,
however once Rangers and Celtic get their noses in front of the rest, they tend to stay there.
It's time again for Inside Left to take a wee break, so updates will be a little sporadic between
now our return in January. But in keeping with tradition, we like to round off the year with our

Jings, cribbens and help me boab. We can't even go away for a couple of days without the proverbial
