If the Houston Dynamo is to continue its relative MLS success next season, it will likely have to do so without two of their most talented players.

Midfielders Ricardo Clark and Stuart Holden are out of contract at season's end, and both players are unlikely to return to the club, having been strongly linked with moves to Europe during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The winter transfer window is only a few weeks from opening and rumors continue to swirl about various players. In Major League Soccer, there are several players who are attracting interest from the top European leagues. One of these is American International and Houston Dynamo player Stuart Holden.

We know MLS is trying to keep him but some clubs overseas want to have him pretty badly. According to multiple reports out of England and Scotland, Premier League side Blackburn Rovers is now in hot pursuit of Stuart Holden.

Of course that goes with Holden's other possible suiters in SPL clubs Aberdeen and Rangers.

After enjoying a dream year for club and country, Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden is largely considered to be the next player in the U.S. pipeline to make the jump from MLS to Europe during the upcoming winter transfer window. But that potential move seems to be in jeopardy after MLS made an unexpected move.
