The name of Abel Hernandez has been mentioned in connection with a transfer to Spurs in the past, but it hadn't appeared for some months, and when you look at the Uruguayan's overall scoring record, maybe that was a good thing.

There is a new story emerging this week however, claiming that a bid from Spurs in the region of around £9m was tabled in the summer and that the club may return once more for the 21 year old Palermo striker in January.
