In response to Telemundo's decision to show the English-language feed of the August 12th USA - Mexico Qualifier on Mun2, the United States Soccer Federation issued the following statement: "With every game, our main objective is to provide the television broadcast to the widest audience possible in both English and Spanish.

So ESPN's gone out and signed Martin Tyler to be its no. 1 commentator for the 2010 World Cup.
Good. He's a very good, if slightly ubiquitous, commentator. He won't embarrass ESPN like Jack Edwards, Dave O'Brien or Marcello Balboa and he'll make a lot of US World Cup viewers very happy.

MLS Cup overnight ratings are out. Overnights are tricky, because the final rating can change, but according to the presented figures, the broadcast reached 30% more viewers than the 2008 final on ABC.

The coverage of the match was outstanding in Salt Lake City and we think that the result was ultimately the best one for MLS.
