Congrats to Abby Wambach for winning the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year for the 4th
time. Only #9 (that's Mia Hamm for the uninitiated) won it more times (5 straight, 1994-98).
Wambach, who came back from a major injury to receive the personal accolade, helped the Women's
National Team qualify for the next FIFA World Cup.

Landon Donovan was named U.S. Soccer Male Athlete of the Year on Monday, garnering the award for
the fourth time in his career.
Donovan joined Female Athlete of the Year Abby Wambach, Young Male Athlete of the Year Gale
Agbossoumonde and Young Female Athlete of the Year Bianca Henninger among those honored on Monday
in contests voted on by fans, media and members of U.
Landon Donovan won his fourth US Soccer Federation Male Athlete of the Year
award on Monday. Donovan was last year's Athlete of the Year, and this marks the fourth time he's
won the award.
"I want to thank everyone who chose me for this honor," Donovan. said in a press statement.
The time has come for the final (we think) WNT Blog post of 2010. Of course we'll be back early
in 2011 as the WNT gets ready for training camp in what will be a HUGE year for the team heading
