Barcelona continue their attempt in defending their Champions League trophy after successfully
beating Ac Milan 3-1 at Nou Camp as Lionel Messi scored a brace in the match, while Andres Iniesta
sealing the victory over the Italian side.
It wasn't an easy game as at one point Milan did managed to make the scoreline 1-1 before the
Catalan eventually edged out with a pretty lucky goals indeed, despite they did create several
chances.
Barcelona and especially Lionel Messi did not wear their shooting boots today. And because of
that they kept AC Milan in the hunt despite their numerous scoring chances. As an example, an early
opening created by Cesc Fabregas's delectable flick left Messi one on one with Abbiati and he
shanked wide.

Not that we wish to brag but, as the prophecy once again foretold, AC Milan's
superb, frenetic and knackering defensive shift ensured that Barcelona were kept schtum in a
Champions League tie for the first time in two-and-a-half years and that the Rossoneri upheld their
record of having never lost a Champions League quarter-final game at the San Siro.
Arsenal won this evening's match against AC Milan at the Emirates in the Champions' League. But
unfortunately, the Italians brought their four-goal advantage into this game and so our 3-0 win
wasn't enough for us to go through.
The Gunners started with a real attacking intent as they had nothing to lose in this one.

With a doff of the cap to Mr Abbiati's exertions last night, here's ten more fine, flying,
clawing, sprawling goalkeeping double saves to feast your peepers uponst...
1. Jim Montgomery, SUNDERLAND vs Leeds
Regarded by gentlemanly scholars as the greatest double save to have ever graced the game, so a
fitting place to start.

4-0 down from the first leg in the San Siro, and only two midfielders to choose from by Wenger:
the task of reaching the next round in this year's CL competition could not have been harder. On
the other hand, because the first leg result left us in an almost impossible position to go
through, the players could go out on the pitch and play free and attacking football, as per the DNA
of the Wengerball-era.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could not believe his eyes as he saw his side stumble against a
tactically and more superior Milan side. A 4-0 loss at the San Siro now means that Arsenal have a
mountain to climb when the return fixture takes place at the Emirates stadium in two weeks'
time.
A goal would have at least given Wenger some hope when the pair meet at the Emirates for the
return leg, however, Arsenal's best chance of the night (which were not many by the way) fell to
Van Perise who forced a save from Abbiati after some good work from Henry.
It's a "pazzo" day of celebration for Milan, after their 4-0 thrashing
of Arsenal in the Champions League last night! Milan simply dominated all 90 minutes of last
night's match with a sleek passing game, although Arsenal surprisingly held the
53% share of ball possession.
Max Allegri has chosen twenty players for tonight's mouth-watering clash with Barcelona. Clarence
Seedorf, who was an injury doubt, is included while Philippe Mexes is not as he is still recovering
from wrist surgery. Alexandre Pato is set to make his first appearance in the Champions League
since the opening fixture against Barcelona.
FC Barcelona for the second time in four days failed to kill off a game which they dominated,
and ended sharing points in the first match of Champions League this season. AC Milan took a shock
lead within 25 second of start through Pato. Barca over turned it from through goals from Pedro and
Villa, but then in the dying moments Thiago Silva equalised from the corner for AC Milan.
The Bird Nest stadium in Beijing, China, is not a lucky ground for Inter Milan. A couple of
seasons ago Inter lost to Lazio here and on Saturday they lost 2-1 to bitter rivals AC Milan in the
Italian Super Cup final
Starting the game in a pretty new modified 3-5-1-1 system, the Nerazzurri, lead by Gianpiero
Gasperini managed to play much better in the first half as their extra midfield players simply
crowded out Milan's who only played three man in the vital area.
Anyone who knows anything about me and my football knows that I love me my keepers. My precious
Abbiati has been plagued by injuries and other misfortunes throughout his career, but as
statistically the best keeper in Serie A this season, the world is finally seeing him for who he
has always been.

The way which Tottenham have gone about their business in the Champions League is wonderful.
Instead of watching a lifeless match at the San Siro, we got to see Tottenham win away from home in
their fearless and adventurous style.
While the final score was 1-0, Tottenham were continuously working the ball in from the flanks,
exploiting AC Milan's weak fullbacks.
