Limbering up for the next challenge
Normally that would mean that the team is flying. Not necessarily in a physical form but in
terms of form, confidence and results. A good continuous run of positive results would probably
equate to a team in flying condition. In this instance, I'm referring "full flight" to the numbers
and quantity.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has warned Olympiakos that breaking the Gunners' long-standing
unbeaten streak at home will be an uphill task for the Greek giants.
Arsene Wenger has led the Gunners through a brilliant spell during which they have gone
undefeated at home during the Group Stage since 2003 and Ramsey believes that the squad can take
tremendous confidence from playing at the Emirates.
How did our lads fare in the recent spate of meaningless important Internationals?
Well, first up was our shiny, new striker from Korea, Mr Young, who opened the week with a
hatrick., and a fine one at that. The first being a quick run behind the last defender and a
powerful volley. The second, a towering header from a corner (watch and learn Chamakh) and for the
third he received the ball in the Theo position then struck a firm drive past the beleaguered
Lebanese keeper.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes that the Gunners are to stop conceding sloppy goals if
they are to end their six-year trophyless crisis. Answering questions on Arsenal Player, the Wales
International explained that the Gunners are ...
So, the players will be back today, there'll be proper training and five initiation ceremonies
to go through. The tradition at Arsenal is that new boys have to sing a song which, to me, sounds
like a truly awful thing to have to go through.
And I don't mean for the new boy who has to do the singing.
During the final days of Mark Hughes reign at the helm of the Wales national team when the
marvellous win in Helsinki and a fully deserved victory over Italy were a fading memory, Welsh fans
would often travel to games more in hope than expectation. Then John Toshack came and killed
the hope. An inevitable slide down the world rankings ensued with defeats home and away to Russia,
Germany and Finland.
Aaron Ramsey feels Arsenal can make a "fresh start" to their Barclays Premier League campaign
with victory over new-boys Swansea at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners have suffered a nightmare opening to the domestic campaign, which followed the sale
of key men Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri - with Arsene Wenger's squad left reeling from their
8-2 humiliation by Manchester United at Old Trafford before the international break.
Forgetting the 8-2 humiliating defeat suffered against Manchester United at Old Trafford: this is
Arsenal's mission when they face Swansea, at home, on Saturday. Knowing that a win against Brendan
Rodgers' men would mean starting to ...
The season starts here. The Boss said so? No, the season started at Newcastle and we have one
point out of nine, that's right, one out of nine. Our worst start since Alex James took a drag from
his Woodbine prior to walking onto the Highbury turf (perhaps).
Thankfully much has changed since OT and quite frankly it needed to.

Aaron Ramsey, Alex Song, and Mikel Arteta's jobs are safe. For a long while, at least. Arsenal have
suffered a blow today after revealing that Jack Wilshere will go under the knife on Monday for
ankle surgery. The 19 year ... Continue reading →
A hot sunny Athens morning, greek yoghurt, fresh fruit, and some Greek honey. Lovely.
Olympiacos (we use a K, they use the C) come to town as Greek Champions , further than that I
have little to tell you about them. They have over 80,000 members, the 9th highest in European
football. They have a superb stadium, noisy, fanatical fans and a good home record.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has questioned the manner in which many pundits have declared
Tottenham Hotspur as the favorites for this Sunday's North London derby.
Following consecutive losses against both Manchester clubs to open the season, Harry Redknapp's
Spurs have won three in a row and as they prepare to welcome the Gunners at White Hart Lane, it is
understandable why they are being tipped to emerge triumphant.
