Arsenal's frozen assets are in the form of key players returning to fitness and form if
everything goes our way, we may see the loss of yesterday's game as a bonus in that it gives us a
little more time to get closer to full strength. The return of Cesc, Vermaelen, Ramsey and Diaby
would make us a force to be reckoned with capable of fighting on many fronts and yes, beating
Barcelona why not?
Firstly, I would like to thank all those who wrote such kind words regarding my piece in the
Arsenal in the Community book. Secondly, I would like to thank Peaches and Rasp for establishing
such a hotbed of creative activity.
Which has nothing whatsoever to do with Stoke, particularly the "hotbed of creative
activity!
Morning to you from snowy Dublin where the inclement weather appears to have banjaxed my upload
speed. Hopefully the Arsecast will have completed by the time I finish writing this.
We'll start with Marouane Chamakh who isn't letting the fact he's done well and scored some
goals ease him into the comfort zone.
*boilk* stoopid delicious wine.
Arsene's press conference took place yesterday, possibly because of the European draw taking
place later on, and we can start with some team news ahead of tomorrow's battle with Stoke.
Wojscez©® may continue in goal as Fabianski has a hip injury.
This time, it'll be snow instead of rain for Robin
Obviously the biggest news coming out from yesterday was the Champions League draw. It is almost
inevitable that we'll draw Barcelona. I watched the draw and knew it would end up that way what
with Shalke and Bayern being drawn out so early.
Morning. Obviously it's going to be a quiet one because of yesterday's postponement. There can
be no tales of the ruthless nutmegging of Lennie and his slack-jawed cohorts, no lauding the aerial
display of Jack Wilshere who headed clear every single long throw from Rory Delap and nothing at
all to be said of Robin van Persie's controversial winner which was stabbed in, from an offside
position, after he'd punched every single Stoke player in the face causing Tony Pubis to start a
fight with Arsene Wenger meaning Gunnersaurus had to step in and stomp him good.
It is -9 in Dublin right now. I can't tell you how much this displeases me.
I really, really fail to see the point of -9. Like war, and the county of Leitrim, what is it
good for? Absolutely nothing. Good god. Oh yeah. And such. And not a bit of football to warm us up
until next Monday. It's like an enforced Interlull but without the bits where our players go away
and come back all broken up in various pieces.
