The 2010 season may be only be a few days dead, but the 2011 season has already kicked off with
the Expansion Draft.
The Vancouver Whitecaps and the Portland Timbers added ten players to their initial MLS rosters
on Wednesday as their clubs began to take shape for the 2011 season.
Miami FC have signed midfielder Gerson MayƩn and forward Chukwudi Chijindu from Chivas USA. The
players will join Miami FC on loan.

Gerson Mayen born February 9, 1989 in Los Angeles, California is of Salvadoran descent. Mayen was
signed to a full professional contract by Chivas USA on March 27, 2008 after training with the club
throughout preseason.
The Blues will face the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Lockhart Stadium this Saturday August 14 at 7:30 pm.
The tailgate will start at about 5 pm for the more hardcore fans including live band A Beautiful
Cage. Sponsors Powerade and Holy Mackerel Beer will be giving away free samples starting at 6 pm.
Expect a good crowd!
Today the full list of players that will be available for Wednesday's Re-Entry Draft. Along with
Josh Wolff, whose contract option was not picked up, Jimmy Conrad and Aaron Hohlbein will be
available in the draft as well. Conrad and Hohlbein are both out of contract, for the draft it
means that both players can accept or reject a "bona fide" offer by the team that drafts them.
Miami FC was able to bring together some of South Florida's most notable soccer legends this past
Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Chima Brazilian Steakhouse in Ft Lauderdale.
It was an electric atmosphere! Hearing the stories, laughter and watching these legends
of the game reconnect was special.

Today we have loaned center back Aaron Hohlbein to Miami FC of the USSF D-2 Pro League. Hohlbein,
who has played in two games this season (one start) is already on his way to Miami and will be
available immediately. Hohlbein joined us in 2007 and has played 43 MLS games (41 starts) in his

The Kansas City Wizards announced Thursday that central defender Aaron Hohlbein has been loaned to
Miami FC of the USSF D-2 Pro League for the remainder of the 2010 season. The team had 5 central

The Wizards have freed up another roster spot for the rest of the season today. The team loaned out
defender Aaron Hohlbein to Miami Blues FC of the USSF division 2. This move, or something like it
was coming, and you could really tell, especially after the signing of Nikos Kounenakis. Kounenakis
gave the Wizards 5 central defenders on their roster, a number the team really didn't need.

first-half lead.

Just like that the first stage of the inaugural MLS Re-Entry draft was over. If you blink you
missed it. We all knew going into the first stage of this new post season draft would be quick
seeing how clubs had to practically match or exceed the player's previous contract. With the
majority of the players in the re-entry pool being high priced guys the clubs did little to work
with in the first round.
The first stage of the re-entry draft was today. The draft took a grand total of 5 minutes as all
but two teams passed in the first round and those two passed in the second round. With the first
pick, DC United selected Joseph Ngwenya of the Houston Dynamo. Heading into the draft a lot of
speculation surrounded whether or not DC would use the first pick on Jimmy Conrad to help solidify
their back line.
