Wolverhampton Wanderers have been flirting with the drop zone all season long, but against
fellow relegation-threatened Burnley, Marcus Hahnemann did his best to improve Wolves' chances of
staying another year in England's top flight.
Hahnemann made his 16th consecutive start for Wolves and had one of his busiest days of the
year, making a season-high eight saves en route to a 2-1 victory that ended a four-game losing
streak.

Alejandro Bedoya has begun to establish himself as a starter for Orebro SK, and his performance
on Monday was the latest piece of evidence.
Bedoya started and played 90 minutes in his fourth consecutive match as Orebro disposed of AIK,
1-0. The win ended Bedoya and Orebro's two-game skid and puts them in sixth place of the 16-team
Swedish League.

Jozy Altidore proved to be a handful for centerback Johnny Heitinga in the U.S. men's national
team's friendly vs. the Netherlands, and Altidore will look to replicate that performance this
weekend, when he'll likely face the Dutch defender again.

Marcus Tracy has endured his share of ups and downs in his first year of professional soccer,
but the former Wake Forest standout has come through it in impressive fashion and did enough to
earn a look from U.S. national team head coach Bob Bradley.

One of the world's best coaches is now fair game.
Guus Hiddink has confirmed his departure as head coach of the Russian national team when his
contract expires on June 30. Having led Russia to the semifinals of the 2008 European
Championship, Hiddink failed to guide the Russians to the World Cup, falling to Slovenia in a
two-game playoff.

Jonathan Spector and West Ham United are feeling the mounting pressure to avoid relegation after
having lost their last six games, but ending that unkind streak won't be an easy task to accomplish
this weekend.
Spector and West Ham travel to Goodison Park on Saturday to butt heads with Everton, which has
lost just once in its last six games.

Although most leagues are done for the season, this weekend still boasts several intriguing
fixtures as far as the Americans Abroad contingent is concerned.
The New York Red Bulls have announced the hiring of 57-year-old Swedish coach Hans Backe as the
team's new head coach. A long-time confidant of Sven-Goran Eriksson, Backe most recently worked as
head coach of English League two side Notts County, a job he quit after just seven weeks.

but the former Wake Forest standout has come through it in impressive fashion and did enough to
earn a look from U.S. national team head coach Bob Bradley.
The European transfer window is set to close today and teams all over Europe are scrambling to
either fill roster gaps or unload players they no longer need.
There haven't been many blockbuster moves, though Mancini's loan swap from Inter to AC Milan and
Andrew Johnson's imminent move to Manchester City are among the more high-profile moves.
In a daunting looking group alongside Holland, Cameroon and Japan, Denmark's
path to the later stages of the World Cup 2010 appears far from comfortable.
But with a sturdy group of players, good team spirit and in Morten Olsen one of international
football's longest-serving managers, Denmark may well surprise an upset or two.

If there is one young American Abroad player who is currently flying under the radar, that
player is midfielder Mikkel Diskerud.
Diskerud made his fifth consecutive start and eleventh overall for Stabaek in its 3-1 win
against Stromsgodset.
At times, it's rather difficult to follow what players are coming and going from team-to-team
and league-to-league. Below is a compiled list of the La Liga transfers for you to catch up on.
Enjoy.

Coming off an embarrassing 8-1 loss, IK Start went back to its winning ways as Clarence Goodson
made his way back into the lineup.
Having served a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation last week, Goodson helped IK
Start post a 3-1 victory over Brann.
Aalborg Boldspilklub, commonly referred to as Aalborg BK or AaB or is a Danish football team
located in Aalborg. The club currently plays in the Danish Superliga and has won three league
championships along with two Danish Cups. AaB currently sits in 12th or last place in the 2010/11
Danish Superliga.
The wait has finally ended. After months of speculation and rumors of who was going to take the
job, former Notts County manager Hans Backe has taken the position as the new Head Coach of Red
Bull NY. Richie Williams who completed his second stint as Interim has been retained as the head
assistant to Backe while Des McAlennen remains the other assistant and keeper coach.
Former Fire forward/midfielder Chris Rolfe has kindly agreed to take some time out of his
schedule to answer some questions from you guys.
I'm guessing Chris will have a good deal to say about his new situation at Danish club Aalborg
BK (where the season will resume in the beginning of March), life in Europe, the manner in which
his Fire career ended, and much more, so ask away.

One of the world's best coaches is now fair game.
Guus Hiddink has confirmed his departure as head coach of the Russian national team when his

Juventus and Liverpool.

team's friendly vs. the Netherlands, and Altidore will look to replicate that performance this

After having moved to Danish Superliga club Aalborg BK in January, American Chris Rolfe will hope
to lead his new team into the top half of the table as they start the second half of the season
this month.
This week American defender Amaechi Igwe is on trial with Danish club Aalborg BK, the club that is
also employs Americans Chris Rolfe and Marcus Tracy.

Benny Feilhaber completed his recovery from the ankle injury that sidelined him nearly six
weeks by coming off the bench in AGF Aarhus' 4-0 victory against Esbjerg on Wednesday.
Feilhaber made a 20-minute cameo for Aarhus and his appearance marked the first time he's played
for the club since December.

Chris Rolfe is enjoying the best week in his short European career.
Just four days after delivering the game-winning assist in in Aalborg BK's win over AGF Aarhus,
Rolfe netted the winner in Aalborg's 1-0 victory against Odense BK. The goal was Rolfe's first in
Europe.

Now the

to part with some serious cash as they seek to bolster their squads ready for the start of the
2010/2011 season. There had been a few transfers before the South African
showpiece, David Villa and Fran Merida among them, with
Real Madrid now clicking
into gear with the recent signings of
Angel Di Maria, Pedro Leon and
Sami
Khedira.

Herculez Gomez made his regular season debut for Pachuca this weekend, as the Tuzos tromped
America, 3-0, to start off their Apertura campaign.
Just as he had for much of his time with former club Puebla and the U.S. national team this
summer, Gomez came off the bench, playing 32 minutes in Pachuca's win.

Several American players are playing in key European club match-ups this weekend, but none are
taking part in as important a clash as Tim Howard is in the Merseyside Derby.
Everton and Liverpool are enduring poor starts to the season and neither can afford a loss when
the teams meet on Sunday at Goodison Park.

SUNRISE, Fla.- Gale Agbossoumonde is in a unique situation.
Fresh off of making his senior national team debut and going through a second U-20 cycle with
the U.S. youth national team, Agbossoumounde is being looked at by U-20 head coach Thomas Rongen to
provide leadership to the group despite having an unsettled and somewhat troubling club
situation.
