Here is a nice goal that Marcus Tracy scored for his Danish club Aalborg in league action against
Midtjylland.
Pro Soccer Weekly is proud to present an exclusive interview with U.S. international and current
Philadelphia Union defender Danny Califf. Danny's list of accomplishments in soccer is very long
and he has recently returned to MLS after playing for a few years in Denmark. Danny was great at
answering the questions that I gave him, but by the end of the interview I think I wore him out a
little bit as you will see.
DC United Hires Curt Onalfo
This hiring is proof that experience in MLS counts for a ton in the eyes of most MLS front offices.
Onalfo's record in Kansas City was hardly stellar but his knowledge of the league's league-owned
salary structure, arcane roster and transfer rules and the American talent pool means that his
learning curve won't be as steep as it would be for first-time foreign coaches.
Marcus Tracy's tendinitis issues have ended his time with the US National Team in Carson. Tracy's
knee injuries were known before the start of camp, and the National Team medical staff opted to
release him back to his club, Denmark's Aalborg. Tracy's spot on the roster will not be filled.
Former Fire forward/midfielder Chris Rolfe has kindly agreed to take some time out of his
schedule to answer some questions from you guys.
I'm guessing Chris will have a good deal to say about his new situation at Danish club Aalborg
BK (where the season will resume in the beginning of March), life in Europe, the manner in which
his Fire career ended, and much more, so ask away.
As was reported here in early December, the Philadelphia Union have come to an agreement on a
contract with U.S. international defender Danny Califf, with the official announcement made by the
team today.
Califf, 29, is a Project 40 (now Generation adidas) product who rose to prominence as a member of
the Los Angeles Galaxy from 2000-2004.
