Here is a nice goal that Marcus Tracy scored for his Danish club Aalborg in league action against
Midtjylland.
Pro Soccer Weekly is proud to present an exclusive interview with U.S. international and current
Philadelphia Union defender Danny Califf. Danny's list of accomplishments in soccer is very long
and he has recently returned to MLS after playing for a few years in Denmark. Danny was great at
answering the questions that I gave him, but by the end of the interview I think I wore him out a
little bit as you will see.
The Kansas City Star this morning has quotes from Peter Vermes that confirm my thoughts that I
posted last night about Kevin Hartman. According to the article from the Star, Vermes basically
said that Hartman no long figures in the team's plans. It sounds like a bitter ending for a keeper
that started every league game over his 3 years with the team, in all competitions, Hartman didn't
play in only 4 games (all Open Cup) over that time frame.
Chris Rolfe will hope to continue to get time for Aalborg when they visit last-place Koge while
Jamil Fearrington and Roskilde are delayed one more week before beginning their spring fight
against relegation .

Chris Rolfe got his first start for Aalborg as they overcame Aarhus, while Jamil Fearrington and
Roskilde continued their hot streak by knocking off First Division leaders Horsens.
Chris Rolfe will look to maintain his place in Aalborg's starting eleven against Odense while Jamil
Fearrington and Roskilde hope to carry their momentum into their matchup against Vestsjaelland
Chris Rolfe scored his first goal for Aalborg on Wednesday, leading them to a 1-0 win over Odense
BK. Rolfe started and went 86 minutes. Aalborg went a man down in stoppage time when Johan
Absalonsen was sent off. Also in the SAS-Ligaen, Benny Feilhaber went the full ninety for Aarhus in
their 1-0 loss to Midtjylland at SAS Arena.
DC United Hires Curt Onalfo
This hiring is proof that experience in MLS counts for a ton in the eyes of most MLS front offices.
Onalfo's record in Kansas City was hardly stellar but his knowledge of the league's league-owned
salary structure, arcane roster and transfer rules and the American talent pool means that his
learning curve won't be as steep as it would be for first-time foreign coaches.
Marcus Tracy's tendinitis issues have ended his time with the US National Team in Carson. Tracy's
knee injuries were known before the start of camp, and the National Team medical staff opted to
release him back to his club, Denmark's Aalborg. Tracy's spot on the roster will not be filled.
Former Fire forward/midfielder Chris Rolfe has kindly agreed to take some time out of his
schedule to answer some questions from you guys.
I'm guessing Chris will have a good deal to say about his new situation at Danish club Aalborg
BK (where the season will resume in the beginning of March), life in Europe, the manner in which
his Fire career ended, and much more, so ask away.
As was reported here in early December, the Philadelphia Union have come to an agreement on a
contract with U.S. international defender Danny Califf, with the official announcement made by the
team today.
Califf, 29, is a Project 40 (now Generation adidas) product who rose to prominence as a member of
the Los Angeles Galaxy from 2000-2004.
Why not, eh? Let's begin with a Chris Rolfe double feature that I don't know how to embed: some
poorly shot highlights from today's friendly against Benny Feilhaber's AGF that resulted in a goal
and assist for the former Chicago Fire man (he's #17 in blue) and then an interview with the new
Aalborg attacker.
Aalborg and United States National Team forward Marcus Tracy is expected to be out for the rest of
the season with tendinitis in his knee. Benny Feilhaber was a 69th minute substitute for Aalborg in
their 4-0 win over Esbjerg at Blue Water Arena on Wednesday. Feilhaber is coming back from injury.
In a second-half surge, Steven Petersen put Aalborg up in the 65th, with Davit Devdariani scoring
in the 72nd and Dennis Hogt making.
Here's a quick run down on the activities of some of the most recent former Fire.
Everyone's favorite professor (especially a certain soccer scribe on the east coast) Juan Carlos
Osorio and Once Caldes defeated winless Nacional 1-0 in Columbia yesterday. The lone goal was
scored by midfielder Jhon Valencia, who I'm told is a pretty good player and free kick
specialist.
Former New England Revolution SuperDraft pick
Amaechi Igwe is reportedly on trial
at 2. Bundesliga side Greuther Fuerth. German Web site transfermarkt.de said the 21-year old
defender had joined Fuerth after an unsuccessful trial with Danish club Aalborg.

Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Veracruz lost again. This time to Hidalgo 3-1 although Blanco did score
the only goal from the PK spot. El Cuauh also had some time on his hands so he appeared on Mexican
television to pay up on a lost wager, do a little dance, and ride around on Pee Wee Herman's
bicycle (see link to hilarity below).
STARTERSYura Movisyan scored his first 2 goals for Randers today, and Chris Rolfe scored his first for
Aalborg and they were both game winners.

I am baffled by all the talk of wealthy Manchester United fans banding together to make a bid to
buy the team - I had not heard that the team was for sale.
Chris Rolfe and Aalborg face a six-pointer against Esbjerg with a possible Europa League spot on
the line while Benny Feilhaber will look to help Aarhus out of their slump at Brondby.
Chris Rolfe started again for AA Aalborg in their 0-0 draw with Esbjerg. Rolfe missed an
opportunity for a goal in consecutive games when he clanked a chip shot off the cross bar.
Gonzalo Segares did not play in Apollonas' 0-0 draw against Omonoia.
Bakary Soumare started and went the full 90 in Bolougne's 2-1 loss to Marseille.
Benny Feilhaber and Aarhus will try to save their season against last-place Koge while Chris Rolfe
and Aalborg look to keep their hot streak going on their visit to Copenhagen.
It's not just league football the Nordics play during the summer some of them are even going
to the World Cup! Glenn Dowd runs the rule over the squad going to South Africa to represent the
good Queen Margrethe II, lots of angry cartoonists, and the world's unfinished-sandwich producing
community.
1. Philadelphia Union, known as Zolos, were founded in 2008. Their nickname came about at a
"Meet-the-Owners" event held two days before the expansion press conference, they wore nametags
with handwritten numbers intended to read "2010." The number was mistakenly interpreted as "ZOLO"
by an ownership group member.
Since Rafael Da Silva made his debut for Manchester United in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against
Newcastle back in August 2008 he has been earmarked as one of the best young gems the game has had
to offer in recent times. Brave on and off the ball, Rafael is never one to shy away from making
hard-hitting tackles or make lung-busting runs, ones which have made Gary Neville a legend at Old
Trafford.

Into the wringer we go with a dense pile of fixtures made worse by the absence of one of our key
players, the attacking midfielder Sane. And we start against the current league leaders.
Things aren't getting any easier for Marcus Tracy.
According to a report out of Denmark, the 24-year-old United States forward prospect has
returned to America for more surgery on his knee. Tracy, who suffers from chronic knee tendinitis,
has been ruled out until January at the earliest, when he may resume training with the team.
Babajide Ogunbiyi and Viborg hope forget their league woes as they take on struggling Aalborg while
Michael Parkhurst and Nordsjaelland face a tough trip to Odense in Danish Cup fourth round action.
