I opined a few days ago about the sleek, "adult" look (as opposed to some of the nonsense
that MLS and adidas are foisting upon us) that recent MLS export Michael Parkhurst would be
sporting for his new Danish club . . . . . . but I got further confirmation of Danish Kit Design
Awesomeness while watching highlights of UEFA Champions' League action last night.

"Anywhere else but here [Old Trafford] and it would have been a red card". This is
a quote from Aalborg player Kasper Risgard following the 2-2 draw where he claims here was a
victim of a Rooney foul which went unpunished. More details at the BBC website. French referee

This evenings Champions League tie between Manchester United and AaB Aalborg has certain Scottish
connections: Alex Ferguson, Bruce Rioch and Darren Fletcher. While reading up about the game,
Inside Left noticed that both Darren Fletcher and Bruce Rioch are (and where) Scotland
internationals, yet neither has ever played for a Scottish team.
Just for once this season wouldn't it be nice for United to turn on the style for the whole ninety
minutes when we face AaB Aalborg in the Champions League on Tuesday? The only problem is United are
currently about as predictable as stocks and shares in high-street banks.
At the weekend Ferguson benched Rooney as he made way for Carlos Tevez, who it has to be said
didn't cover himself in glory while he was on the pitch (for around 70 minutes to be precise) - it
wasn't the time for the Argentine's worst game of the season so far.
Danish champions Aalborg, coached by former Arsenal boss Bruce Rioch, drew 0-0 with Celtic in the
first Champions League game of this season. I think even takink home advantage into
account, this would be a major upset if Man Utd don't win here. Let's hope I'm wrong!
