A while back, we helped NSC pal Jared Montz get out the word on their drive to raise money for
Nothing But Nets and now he's provided us with a summary clip of the event outcome. Good stuff and
something I think can grow in leaps every time it goes down. We had some great folks out there set
the example for next time.
As the world slowly comes to MLS, it's nice to see the league reciprocating to go global. Aurelien
Collin, Bryan Jordan and Sebastien Le Toux are among the players who have given "Celebrity English
Lessons" via video for a Portland outfit called English, Baby! that helps teach our language to
well over a million people in places like Brazil, China and Turkey.
Old habits die hard. Just ask John McClane...#1 - The Kansas City Star explains why Sporting KC
decided to pay for their stadium naming rights. Awesome. And for those KC folks who pay attention to
such silly things: The Distracter super-duper approves of this. Despite the Wizards name change,
which was upsetting, they remain "her team".
You know the drill. 'Nats v Albiceleste. Player Ratings at MLSS after. And I have not forgotten
about the Jay DeMerit docu-film "mini-review" - that is coming tomorrow. If I'm not mistaken, we

and the feeling of helping a really great cause? If so, stop what you're doing and check out what
former MLS all-star keeper Mike Ammann has going on just for you.- Greg Seltzer
This is not our normal programming, but I had to spread the word on this. This is wild.Long story
short: This summer, legendary b-boy Steelo had a ruptured brain aneurysm, so he had surgery. Then
it ruptured again. More surgery, another following rupture. Four times. He's got a one-year-old son
that he currently cannot walk or talk better than.
FYI: You have two days left to get your MLS W.O.R.K.S. Breast Cancer Awareness Auction bids in,
folks. And to me, several of these items remain in "quite the steal" range for game worns and
autographed jerseys from some fine players.- Greg Seltzer
You have five hours and change left to bid on autographed game-worn USMNT shirts from their recent
friendly in Paris. Proceeds go to the Disabled Veterans Charity.- Greg Seltzer
