With a little over three months left until the Philadelphia Union kicks off their inaugural season
in Major League Soccer, the expansion franchise is said to be aggressively pursuing a sponsor for
the front of their team shirts, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Apparently, two companies
approached the club about front-of-the-jersey sponsorship deals early on, but team officials felt
like neither were a good fit for the brand that they are trying to create.
Both Stoke and Fulham have a double header on Gameweek 20, after missing out on Gameweek 17.
Arsenal and Bolton are the other teams that gameweek who benefit from the revised fixture list.
The tricky part for a lot of players is that by now many have shaped their teams into something
close to what they would like, making the dilemma not so much about who they should transfer in,
rather who they will transfer out.

We're not as against turf fields as many, but there is no doubt that MLS raises its stature and
increases its chance of success as a business (by attracting those who are put off by such fields),
when it converts to grass. Such is the case in Toronto, where Field Turf is no longer and grass
is on the way.
Père Noël must be a Lyon fan too!!!
Well, I hope you all got what you wanted for Christmas. I know I didn't get a certain French
coach's head in a box, guess I'll have to wait a bit longer for that one. I wasn't planning to
write anything till January, but my favorite time of the football year has rolled around once
again: Yes transfer time!

DURBAN, South Africa -- The arch over Moses Mobhida Stadium is already an iconic staple to the
Durban skyline. One of the brand-new stadiums built for the World Cup, the locals nearby claim that
it is the most impressive of the bunch.
As of December, there is still work to do on the stadium, despite the fact the entire structure
is complete and has held a competitive match.

This weekend we felt the bitter pill of defeat.
We havent felt that one for a while and personally i feel it wasnt deserved.
First lets get one point straight. Both teams had their moments. As i predicted Higuain was
vicious.
I would have prefered a draw. Neither team deserved to win or lose on the day.
March of the Pygmies
So the Pygmaies march norf, doing a little injury hokey-kokey along the way just to keep themselves
warm; You put an Eboue in, you take an Denilson out....
Sigh.
There was some fighting talk from Wenger in his pre-match conference, saying that we're ready for
it.
We lost 2-1 to Benfica yesterday in a game which made no difference to either side (Bate beat
Everton 1-0 away). The funny thing here, however, is despite this match meaning nothing to AEK
(except a little pride) we saw some pleasing football from our players.
Benfica hit the post on a penalty early on which kept us in the game for quite a while but our
luck didn't last too long as Benfica scored two goals (the first one took a nasty bounce though
Saja still should have been able to save it) without response from AEK.
