As you will know and as I think why do football transfers go on for so long once a manager
has targeted his player and put a bid in for him. Isn't it as simple as I bid £5 million for a
player, the bid is accepted, money paid and the player moves on? Well no, so I'd though I should
explain:
Here we go from start to finish
In spite of all the glitz and glamour of football, players are still traded like cattle.
The transfer rumor mill is in full force once again, and almost all of the rumors revolve around
some up and coming Spanish club that goes by the name of Real Madrid (surely a rip-off of the MLS
side Real Salt Lake). This time the rumors concern Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has a
rumored price tag of just £1.
With a little over three months left until the Philadelphia Union kicks off their inaugural season
in Major League Soccer, the expansion franchise is said to be aggressively pursuing a sponsor for
the front of their team shirts, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Apparently, two companies
approached the club about front-of-the-jersey sponsorship deals early on, but team officials felt
like neither were a good fit for the brand that they are trying to create.
Yesterday I watched the match between Crystal Palace and Man City on Sky Sports 1 and throughout
the 1st half and glimpses in the second Palace held their own and in the 1st half had 5 shots on
target 4 more than Man City.
But one player caught my attention through the match and this was Palace's Victor Moses.
17-year-old Brazilian teenager, Dodo, has claimed that he will be signing for Manchester United
in the summer, with reports suggesting he would cost £5 million.
Reports in Sao Paulo today suggest the defender will first come on loan from Corinthians before
the deal is made permanent.
If he was to join, he would be linking up with the Brazilians we already have at the club,
Anderson, Rafael, Fabio and Possebon.
The following report on Jozy Altidore's future comes from Tribal Football........

international duty at the Confederations Cup.
Argentinian makes first step on the Cheshire property ladder Who said the property market is in
meltdown? The happy chap pictured above is a first-time buyer about to get himself onto the
property ladder by purchasing a modest £5 million mansion. Carlos Tevez's potential new pad has
one careless former owner: former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Only a fraction of fee payable now.
Contrary to all the rubbish printed by the British press regarding a 20 million
pound deal for Alberto Aquilani, Roma have themselves revealed the true extent of the payment
structure for the Italian (both to the stock exchange as well as their own official
site).
Today has been quite a day for news stories reporting Arsenal FC; there has been transfer news,
Wenger's quote's about various issues and stupid newspaper columnists sledging us over and over
again. But let's calm down.
News reports on Huntelaar
It has been clear knowledge for a day now that Huntelaar is not keen on a mover to Stuggart even
though Real have agreed a fee.
According to Luis Mira at Goal.com, A Bola is reporting that Liverpool

Falcao. Falcao appeared set to join Benfica prior to this offer from Liverpool.

While the French media reported a few days ago that Hammarby's American striker Charlie Davies had
all but locked up a deal with Sochaux, methinks the phone lines are burning up between his agent
and several clubs, to include Rennes, Saint Etienne, and at least one Bundesliga club.
Word on the street is that the price tag for the 23 year-old US breakout star of the Confederations
Cup will be anywhere from is currently somewhere between € 2.
The rumor mill in Europe is working overtime on the rumor that Barcelona star Thierry Henry is
coming to MLS next summer to play for the New York Red Bulls.
Today the Spanish newspaper AS reported that Henry, who is 32, would like to end his career in
the U.S.
Henry is still part of the France national team that is expected to qualify for next summer's
World Cup in South Africa, which would delay Henry coming to MLS until late in July.
DeRo Goes Agro About BMO Turf
In an post-match interview following Toronto FC's 2-0 home loss to Chicago Fire, Dwayne DeRosario
on CBC sports gave the strongest condemnation of the FieldTurf used by BMO Field to date:
"This turf has to go, I'm sick of it."
Indeed, one would think with the money that MLSE earned from their portion of the nearly $5 million
Canadian dollars received for the transfer of US International, Maurice Edu to Scotland's Rangers,
they would be able to install grass or at least a better grade of Fieldturf similar to what is in
use in Seattle.
There have been various reports in the press this morning over a few of Arsenal's transfer
dealings, as i shall tell you about below:
Marouane Chamakh
The Daily Mirror reports that Arsene will make a final move for the Moroccan international after
his £5 million bid was rejected earlier this summer, they report the bid will be around £8.
Every fan looks anxiously at the transfer window and starts to wonder who we will sign, when
will we sign anyone and who is leaving the club. For Arsenal fans this is more relevant this
summer. We know from the rumblings around the dressing room, the stands and even in the board-room,
that a failure to win something this season will see top players leave next summer and Arsene's
future will definitely be brought into question.
So i wake up early this Saturday morning, tune into sky sports news hoping to hear some good

ongoing concerns over the finances of the Spanish club may result in them being forced to sell the
player.
Although the club's two main stars – the two Davids, Silva and Villa – have remained at
Valencia, despite serious interest from many of Europe's biggest clubs, their sporting director
Fernando Gomez hinted that lesser players may be sold to ease the financial burden.
Interesting news surfacing today with regards to the financial situation at Anfield. The latest

show just how much money is being drained to service the costs of the parent company's loans, with
interest payments alone topping £36.
Last summer I wrote that the writing was on the wall for Phillipe Senderos. Newcastle were one
of the clubs interested in taking the Swiss international away from his Arsenal nightmare.
Wenger let Senderos go to AC Milan on loan a deal that cost the Italian club £1.5 million, the
deal was constructed with a view to AC Milan signing the player on a permanent deal this summer for
£6.

staged a protest that one of their best players was being sold to a bitter rival, consequently
with this in mind Fiorentina want to sell to Arsenal and have set a Friday deadline date.

Plenty of transfers are floating about this summer, but almost all of them revolve around
familiar faces. Premiership Talk takes a look at this summer's hottest targets.
David Villa
Real Madrid have already clinched the signings of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka, and David Villa
appears to be next on the list.
We love it when footballers make honest women of the girlfriends that have hung in there through
it all, hoping, waiting, and counting stretch marks to pass the time before a proposal.
On that note, we offer up a big congratulations to Rio Ferdinand, who has just married his
long-time gal, Rebecca Ellison, It was a wedding that included hiring a private jet to take guests

Ok, ok, ok, ok, I tell a lie.
The award for the most fictional Saturday press report this week goes to.... and I have just
realised its Friday.
Fuck, double shit and bollocks.
Anyway, the Independent think that we are going to buy Danielle De Rossi for 30 million quid,
there is no doubt that De Rossi is a very good player but there is doubs as to whether he would
move from the club that brought him up from the little kiddie ranks and move from the place he was
always lived.
There is always a last-minute move before the European transfer window slams shut at the end of

There was talk earlier that he wanted a buyout clause, which was as low as €5 million.
