From this video it sure sounds like it (3m in).
Currently FC Dallas holds the top spot in the allocation order. Buzz Carrick from 3rd Degree
wants it done, can you blame him? I wonder if Dallas would really pass on him if he came back to
the league. I also wonder if he'd be enough to get Dallas back into the playoff hunt this season
(doubtful).
Reports have surfaced this week linking FC Dallas forward Kenny Cooper with a move to Football
League Championship side Bristol City in England.
The same situation presented itself last season, when several European teams swooped for Cooper's
services during the summer transfer window.
Matt Besler from Notre Dame. Besler is a local kid, played for KCFC in Overland Park. A little
surprising pick, but he was rated as the number 4 defender by 3rd Degree and was an All American.
It's become quite the thing these days apparently to slam the MLS Combine and say it's useless.
(Funny how it it seem the combine is most frequently slammed by people that don't go to it?) The
latest to do so today is Steven Goff.
Multiple sources including the guy who has the scoop on most things involving the Frisco based
club, Buzz Carrick at the 3rd Degree reports that the El Salvadorian striker who recently played in
the Gold Cup for the Cuscatlecos could be playing his club futbol at Futbol Club Dallas.
Here is a video of Corrales in action:
According to Buzz Carrick at the always excellent 3rd Degree blog (click here for the original
article and all the details), Heath Pearce may be joining FC Dallas. Specifically, Coach Hyndman
said:
"There's interest from Health Pearce wanting to come back and we've got the #1 lottery [allocation]
spot, so we may be in a situation where we might be able to use it.
1) MLS Alltime Leading Goalscorer Timeline. Pretty easy to update, since Jaime Moreno's still on
top. He's closing in on two years with sole possession of the record. Jason Kreis held it for three
straight years before him. I never would've thought it when he overtook Kreis, but Moreno really
could hold on to it for a while longer.
In a move that will shock no one who reads this site, FC Dallas has traded for US U20 Captain Kyle
Davies. Last week when Davies signed with MLS, 3rd Degree learned about his signing and the
forthcoming weighted lottery from FCD sources prior to any MLS announcement. That information was
an obvious indication of the Red Stripes interest in the former Southampton player.
After three weeks of sub-par predictions, yours truly finally got things turned around in Week 15,
nailing the correct result on four out of the weekend's six games, including my 'no-brainer'. Buzz
Carrick of 3rd Degree didn't make things easy on me at all, as the two of us were locked in a 4-4
tie heading into Sunday's pair of games.
Last week, I discussed the decline in beat reporting on American sports, which is hitting the
less popular sports leagues such as Major League Soccer particularly hard. My
particular example came from the city I know best, Chicago, where we've seen the major daily here
cut its beat reporter for the Fire this year and replace him with an enthusiastic but inexperienced
blogger, whose work rarely makes the print edition.
Below you will be able to find hundreds of items sending you throughout the Internet and
Blogosphere to all the latest news and updates for the 2010 MLS Combine and 2010 MLS Super
Draft.
The Best Coverage -- 3rd Degree
Buzz Carrick is the definitive source for all things MLS Combine and MLS SuperDraft.
Apparently people know us.
If you are reading this, the new business-powers-that-be at FC Dallas want to hear from you. Next
Tuesday, March 31st, FCD has invited anyone who reads, posts on, or has anything to do with 3rd
Degree to a lunch at BJs in Addison from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Today was the luncheon at BJ's in Addison hosted by FC Dallas for 3rd Degree readers to give
feedback on the good and bad the organization has been doing. Overall I think it was a good event
with some exchange of ideas and information from both sides. I feel more positive about the FCD
front office than I have in a long time.
3rd Degree has been able to confirm with our sources that Aaron Pitchkolan is going to be traded to
San Jose to make room on the FC Dallas roster for Kyle Davies. Pitchkolan isn't a surprise trade
since he had seen little time with the first team this spring.

This look? This is the look Carlos would give you on a morning like today.
Studying you, perhaps, whilst you crash your way through the closet trying to find a matching
pair of shoes, your jacket accidentally tucked into your tights, and a fresh hair straightener burn
still sizzling on your forehead.
I havent had much to write about lately. And my fellow bloggers in Houston did make it known
that the Houstank was going to kick our butts. Gee that makes me ask the question. How come if you
guys are so good how come you could only manage one goal? How come your power player Mr. Chang
couldnt hit the broad side of a barn?
With each week that goes by, I get a little closer to being named the victor in the 'Picking The
Winners' challenge, having gone from being blown out of the water three weeks ago to scraping for a
draw last week against Ben Knight (Onward). On the flip side of that, I did kinda only predict one
game out of six correctly.
The It's Called Football - TFC blog recap the first half of the season from the Western Conference
with (yours truly) Patrick Beatty on Real Salt Lake, Buzz Carrick on FC Dallas, Dave Clark on the
Seattle Sounders and from LA, Nick Green on the Galaxy.
They also breakdown the Toronto v Columbus game and set up the Champions League match v the Puerto
Rico Islanders.
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Twelfth Annual 3rd Degree Awards. The 3rd Degree Awards were
created in 1998, with the addition of the Spark award in 1999, and the Ember Award in 2006.

The 2010 MLS draft inn Philadelphia is little more than a month away and the list of potential
players is starting to come out. Today MLS released the list of seniors that were invited to the
MLS combine in Fort Lauderdale this coming January. Also today, thanks to Buzz Carrick over at the
great 3rd Degree blog, we have the preliminary potential Generation Adidas list.
Joyous season wishes from everyone at 3rd Degree. May you have a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Quansa,
Festivus, or whatever holiday it is you celebrate, and a Happy New Year.
