Andre Villas-Boas is Chelsea's new manager and I have to say I am really excited about the
appointment after seeming for so long that Roman Abramovich would entrust his beloved Chelsea to
Guus Hiddink once again.
The appointment of Villas-Boas seemed somewhat out of the blue as the news broke on Tuesday that he
could be leaving Porto.
After a cavalcade of circumstantial evidence pointed to Cesc Fabregas's final season at Arsenal
there are now increasing doubts whether he will finally leave for Barca, his boyhood club.
Simply put the financial figures for Barca are not very flattering. The club has the highest
wage bill in the world, a stupendous €234.

So Andre Villas-Boas "starts work" straight away and he will begin with evaluating the squad we
have at the moment at Chelsea. Because of having the knowledge of the club from his time here

Lampard and Drogba.
Since sacking Claudio Ranieri in June 2004 to appointing Andre Villas-Boas in June 2011, Roman
Abramovich has spent over £69m in various compensation pay-outs to managers and clubs (including
the hiring of director of football Frank Arnesen). That £69m does not include wages paid to
managers since 2004.

Everton have accepted an offer from Spurs for their midfielder Steven Pienaar. Last week, Chelsea

had initially made an offer that fell short of Chelsea's bid, have matched the asking price.

Hello everyone, sorry have had some problems with my pc which explains the lack of blog posts over
the weekend. My take on the 2-0 win over Blackburn is to follow soon but one story has grabbed my
attention today after I posted on here on Friday that to me things behind the scenes do not seem
right at Chelsea.

Looks like Steven Pienaar is on his way to Tottenham. Or Chelsea. Either way, he's on his way to
