With Railway Harrogate having just scored a dramatic late equaliser on the 90-minute mark to
level the score at three apiece in their West Riding County Cup tie against Guiseley last night, it
looked for all the world like the game was heading to extra time.
Stanford and Duke advanced to Sunday's national championship game of the NCAA Women's College Cup
with three-goal victories in both semifinals on Friday night. Stanford defeated Florida State 3-0
in the first match, and Duke ran out 4-1 victors over Wake Forest. This year's College Cup was
located at Kennesaw State University's new soccer-specific stadium, about 30 minutes northwest of
downtown Atlanta.
A miracle. That's exactly what Lyon needed to go through to the knockout stages of the Champions
League after disappointing in the five first games and scoring only on two occasions. To qualify,
