Red News celebrated its 25th anniversary this month, which is quite an incredible feat,
and Sir Alex Ferguson wrote a letter to them to mark the occasion.
As part of the special edition of the fanzine, I wrote an article looking at some well known
Manchester United players in their 25th year.
1. Sure, you can stick to the letter of the law and say that Patrice Evra committed a foul by
playing in his socks, but how would Athletic Bilbao fans feel if the boot was on the other foot? 2.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has written an open letter to the club's fans,
asking them to behave well when they meet Liverpool in Saturday's 4th round FA Cup at Anfield.
Even those looking at Real Money Casino Games at Mansion will tell you that tensions between
the rival clubs have increased in recent times, following the race row between Luis Suarez and
Patrice Evra in October's league draw at Anfield.
Named after the entry gate at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge ground, Gate 17 books was established in
November 2007 as an imprint of respected publishing house Troubador.
The first title published by this Chelsea themed imprint was a second edition of 'Over Land and
Sea' which had achieved cult-classic status amongst Blues fans.
Coventry City are set to wear their 1987 Retro Shirts in Saturday's FA Cup 3rd Round encounter

Less than a fortnight later and Steve Bruce and Wes Brown were needed to ensure that Sir Ferguson's
25th anniversary was marketed correctly.

This past 6th of November marked Sir Alex Ferguson's 25th anniversary since taking charge of
Manchester United. While many managers are fads at other clubs (Chelsea, Real Madrid), Manchester
United have been fortunate enough to have a single manager lead the club to 12 Premier League
titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups, and two Champions League trophies.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is thought to be ready to ask Kenny Dalglish about the prospect of
signing Jonjo Shelvey on loan in January.
The diminutive 19-year-old midfielder is currently on loan at Blackpool after finding first team
opportunities difficult to come by at Anfield this season due to the summer arrivals at the club.
Off with his head There was nothing but joy at Old Trafford lat weekend on the 25th anniversary of

To mark the 25th anniversary of Sir Alex Ferguson being Manchester United manager, Daniel Taylor
has re-released his book This Is The One. This book saw Danny banned from Ferguson's
Friday press conferences four years ago and apparently news of the re-release didn't go down too
well either.

On the weekend of Sir Alex Ferguson's 25th Anniversary, United's academy travelled to Bolton
Wanderers and returned with a slender 2-1 victory. In Sir Alex's twenty five year career, he's
given a first team debut to an incredible 79 teenagers. It's impossible to accurately predict which
of the current crop of boys will go on [.
Eric Cantona, who was a key figure in bringing Sir Alex Ferguson his first title with Manchester
United in 1993, has talked about his relationship with our manager on the 25th anniversary of him
taking charge of the club.
"I remember my first meeting with Sir Alex when he wanted to sign me from Leeds and in the
first minute I knew that I had to work with the man," said Cantona.
Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson on the 25th anniversary of our manager
taking the job at Old Trafford.
"Sir Alex has a special place in my life. In fact, he was the main man," said Ronaldo.
"I was not famous, I was not a star. I arrived at Old Trafford as just another young
talent.

As a mark of their gratitude, yesterday saw a truly exemplary gesture on Manchester United's
part with the club marking Sir Alex Ferguson's 25th anniversary by renaming the North stand at Old
Trafford the 'Sir Alex Ferguson Stand' which is quite possibly the highest and most notable
accolade a club can give to one of it's legends, and was made all the more poignant by the fact
that United kept it schtum until the man himself took to the pitch before yesterday's game against
Sunderland.
It wasn't vintage United but they came away with the win thanks to former defender Wes Brown's
o.g from a Nani corner to keep Sir Alex Ferguson happy enough to celebrate his 25th anniversary as
Manchester United manager in style.

Four games in the SPL today.
But I'm distracted by Sir Alex Ferguson's upcoming 25th anniversary as manager of Manchester
United. A phenomena. From Govan.
The SPL didn't even exist 25 years ago. We must have had football though, whatever they try and
tell us.
Must have had it because I'm sure Alex Ferguson left a top flight Scottish club to take over a top
flight English club 25 years ago.
Congratulations, Fergie! Now can you please do all us non-United fans a favour and
retire?
Many eulogies are being delivered on Alex Ferguson's 25th anniversary in charge of Manchester
United. And rightly so. His longevity and record are phenomenal and deserve the utmost
recognition.
Henry Winter, The Telegraph
On his 25th anniversary, Sir Alex is being hailed as one of the greatest managers of all time.
Rightly so. He possesses the four qualities that shape the finest leaders of footballing men: he
buys well, bonds well, prepares well and exudes an aura. Never underestimate the power of an aura
in a sport where psychology is key.
Fergie proves he does have a sense of humour plus more bad luck for Sven
Proof emerges that Sir Alex Ferguson does have a sense of humour after all. Last Sunday night, a
few hours after Manchester United's humiliating 6-1 home defeat to City, Fergie hosted a
pre-arranged thank you dinner for non-playing club staff at an Alderley Edge hotel to mark his 25th
anniversary at Old Trafford.

Watch Bruna of Equatorial Guinea casually pick up a ball in full view of the world when it is in
play. Incredibly, the referee Gyoengyi Gall from Hungary and her referee crew miss it altogether or
chose to ignore it completely.
This incident took place in a Group D match against Australia in the 15th minute when Collette
McCallum sends in a cross which Lila Khamis flicks onto the upright and as the ball rebounds back
into play, Bruna picks it up and carries it in her hand for a couple of seconds before releasing
it.
It has been well documented in the English press that today is the 25th anniversary of Diego
Maradona's infamous "Hand of God" goal in Argentina's 2-1 victory over England in the 1986 FIFA
World Cup. That game brought out the best and worst sides of a player who, in my opinion, was the
greatest footballer ever to play the game and it is arguably what "El Diego" did in the whole of
that tournament which turned me from indifferent to passaionate about the game of football.
Honda Motorcycles, the number one motorcycle and lifestyle brand in Thailand, today announces a

of international teams you still have many options to get to a top quality soccer match in your
area.
